I'm riding in the 1920s Model T. Ford, car, era, Lord.
Call me Levi playing on the keys, boy.
And I'm about to put my gloves on.
If I said it, then I meant that.
I'm about to get that. Crash that whip with a drumstick, whiplash. I'm about to put my gloves on. If I said it, then I meant that. Yeah, I like that one. I'm about to get that.
Crash that whip with a drumstick whiplash.
I'm about to get them all.

GM, GM, good morning and happy Monday
Hope everyone had a great weekend
Shout out to the US of A baseball team for bringing back exciting baseball.
Looking forward to the tilt with Venezuela and Italy tonight.
And then potentially a divided house for the finals.
Still a little under the weather, but almost fully back.
Looking forward to being fully back.
I am not one to get sick often.
And I'm not like the dad meme where it's like, oh, I'm dying because I got a head cold.
But I just, I appreciate my health.
And don't like the little scratch, the runny nose.
Looking forward to being back.
But yeah, we'll probably avoid
flights for the foreseeable future unless I absolutely have to get on one. That said,
we have actually a lot to get into. But before I do, I mean, markets are ripping.
Bitcoin up big. I think we went into the weekend around 69, 70K, pushing 74K this morning.
Memecoins up double digits, ETH on a ripper.
I don't know. They're saying alt season might be knocking on the door here. We will see.
Big Fed meeting tomorrow. It looks like no rate cuts, but that's too boring to talk. Let's
get back to some fun cold open material before we get too warmed up here. Speaking of getting us warmed up,
we are live over on abstract as well as YouTube and the X video chat.
I'll go grab those links right now and put them up top.
If you'd prefer to watch the video stream, as I said,
YouTube subs are the real winners.
Go hit that video with a like and subscribe while you're over there.
Abstract. We're pushing abstract XP is, is up, up, up. Whatever changes they're making for the streamers, it's looking
good, but had nothing to do with my health. I'm sure it actually probably got me healthier
was a little, well, I just went Saturday, but a little festival in St. Pete. Not on the pier this time, but on Vinoy Park, which is right on the water.
I didn't ever think of St. Pete as a music venue destination,
but I will be seeking out concerts there in the future.
It is, the pier is awesome, as you can imagine, water around it.
But Vinoy Park sits on the water, and it was just great.
Great, I mean, nice Park sits on the water and it was just great. Great. I mean,
nice breeze coming off the water. I mean, this isn't like, Oh, look at me. It just normally
shows like that larger festival stuff will get VIP unless they're extraordinarily expensive.
And these weren't, um, again, just also just for a single day, but the real VIP was those that
rolled up in their, you know, their, I don't know how big catamarans and and yachts in the in the bay and just list took in the show uh from the waterfront
but uh was fun enjoyed the show haven't been um i mean i guess the last one i was last
music last concert festival whatever it was at was was the same people. That one was on the pier.
Got me the itch. I might want to get in another show or two this year. Not just Fred again,
who's on the list for sure, but a big fan. I might seek out a Red Rocks or if I really want to go hard, go to the Gorge for the first time. A little weekend project. did not get the walls taken care of. Like I said, I might, I rather, uh, refinished a, uh, little, uh, like ice cream socials.
I don't know what they're called.
It's like old wrought iron, little coffee ice cream table, coffee table, uh, with some
wrought iron chairs and, uh, the wood had just started peeling back.
So pull, pull, pulled off, sanded it down and it's almost complete.
Just need a coat of sealant on it.
and then watch some baseball last night.
not only am I enjoying baseball?
I think it's going to get me into the world,
the world baseball classic.
I think it's going to get me deep into MLB this year.
I haven't quit the cannabis. I just am not
smoking flour. Um, but still my, my sleep aid of choice, I, I guess, yes, cut back, but, um,
could be some correlation there. Hizzy, but I don't, I don't think it's, I think it's just
the travel and, um, it just happens going back to the Midwest was that's, that's, that did it.
Um, anyways, hopefully the voice isn't too bad. Hopefully my nose doesn't start running It just happens. Going back to the Midwest was, that did it.
Anyways, hopefully the voice isn't too bad.
Hopefully my nose doesn't start running on the show.
I would rather be healthy the majority of the time.
So when I do get sick, it's a big deal versus dealing with bad health constantly.
So very grateful that I'm normally very healthy. Nothing a good
sauna sweat can't fix. I see the claw machine post there, Joey. I know it looks at, or I don't know, it sounds like the VCon rumor was just that,
nothing more than a rumor.
However, they do bring VCon back.
BZ's got to have not just a boot there.
We need an in-real-life claw machine.
That would be worth running back VCon just in itself.
I hope they do it for many reasons.
do it for many reasons. But yeah, if they do, we got to get a BZ claw machine there.
But yeah, if they do, we got to get a BZ claw machine there.
Trading update. We are three for the last three trades of the day. The ETH long, the Bitcoin long,
and then the Mudang short. And not only is it, I actually closed it last night,
left it open for a few days, closed it last night. And apparently just in time it was um i mean i guess probably
still a little bit about maybe like break even i guess had i left it open but it had just chopped
in the like low 53 54 range and um just decided you, ETH was ripping before I went to bed. Thought this could be, uh, I figured like some of the memes could follow.
And yeah, it did. It did. It's up like 7% since I closed it.
So feeling, feeling, um, a little overconfident in the perp streets.
We will, we'll see what we get into today.
I did mention that Fed meeting tomorrow.
That'll be interesting to see.
It sounds like no rate cuts are almost for sure.
Um, but just an interesting time. It'll be interesting. I think the other comments maybe, like what, I don't even, I'm, Fed,
CME is pricing a 92 probability of a hold. I think Polymarket is still like 99%. So probably
no, nobody's expecting a rate cut.
But the decision is almost beside the point at this point.
What matters Tuesday is the dot plot, they're saying.
The Fed's own projection of where rates go from here.
And the press conference is at 2.30, where he has to explain the Fed is modeling this oil shock, Middle East war, 15% tariffs, attain February CPI all at once.
The first meeting where the Iran war is officially baked in. So every word he says will probably
move markets. Now, let me change this title before I get my next takeout. Monday morning.
As always, I'm Cap, no co-host today. I think Outer will be joining us tomorrow,
although she's traveling overseas,
Monday morning markets ripping.
Guys, crowdsourcing better titles.
What's some clickbaity title this morning?
if I can spell correctly.
Ripping. If I can spell correctly.
Someone comes up with a better one.
Speaking of these Fed meetings.
I did not realize this until looking a little bit in tomorrow's meeting.
Make sure I'm quoting it correctly.
The. I'm quoting it correctly.
I'm pretty sure seven, yes,
seven of the eight last Fed meetings,
seven of the eight of 2025,
Seems a little different.
Bitcoin nearing $40,000 to $74,000.
Our guy Phonix calling for $80,000 Bitcoin this week.
Currently, as I mentioned,
currently looking at a 40% cut for May.
Or I'm sorry, 40% chance of a cut in May.
My brain is, it's the sick brain fog,
which is up 28% from last week.
So seems to be where last week wasn't,
was unsure we were even going to get a cut in May.
I think that'll be the new,
not that we get a rate cut tomorrow,
but will the market price in a May rate cut is I think where we're, how this thing will net out.
And even if it does, I don't know what that does for Bitcoin. It's about my pay grade, but
feels like, feels like, feels like things are heating up. I don't know. I don't want to get over ahead of our skis.
I don't want to be the perma-bull,
but it feels like things are heating up.
Yeah, good call to bring that up.
We did have Selection Sunday.
And I am going to find out right now.
Would have been more news if they didn't make it.
Thank you very much, Hans, for the big Pingu tip over there.
Ohio State, go Buckeyes, 8 seed.
Going to face Duke if they beat TCU.
I'll share this, why not, for those watching video.
If you haven't seen the bracket, it's good, uh, good, cool to open for a couple of minutes here. I don't, so we don't have
a copy of Captain Bracket. However, uh, cool chick has her simple mint. You don't even understand
the bracket. It's just, you mint, you get a team and you're, you're riding that team. Or if you,
you can buy teams on the secondary,
if the team wins, you win the pool,
you make money getting into,
oh, they're in the play-in game.
So, I mean, I guess it's better than being out.
I don't know how, I'm curious,
what has been the reception from my new Ohio fans? Are they okay?
They're seven and a half point underdogs.
I might actually go take a Miami bet with the points.
Seven and a half seems like a lot for a team that ran the table undefeated in the regular season.
So we got Miami, SMU, NC State in Texas, Howard and UMBC in Lehai and Prairie View are the Prairie View are the four play games that start tomorrow.
Two seeds, Iowa State, Houston, Kentucky a seven, Virginia a three, Illinois a three,
Tennessee a six, North Carolina a six, Nebraska a four, Alabama a four, Texas Tech a five,
Vanderbilt a five, McInese, McInese, the, I can't remember the guy's name, but the, the
equipment manager who farms the Aura, good to see him back in the, in the dance, Michigan a one seed,
Florida a one seed, looking to repeat, I think for the second time in school's history.
Then we head up to Purdue as a two seed, UConn's a two seed, Gonzaga a three, Michigan State a three,
a two seed, Gonzaga a three, Michigan State a three, Arkansas a four, Kansas a four, Wisconsin
a five, go Bucs, and then Duke and Arizona round out the one seeds. I know nothing. I haven't paid
a lick of attention to college basketball other than I know. Yep. I did see Rick Riggs just shared Dave Evans departed from Yuga
on Friday. I'm curious if they will be backfilling his role or not. Didn't really say.
I will read the LinkedIn post. He is on X.
I did see the X post. He just doesn't post much on X. I don't know his, it's not his name.
If anyone has Dave's X handle, I saw it. I'm near certain I saw it on X, but he's not a, was rarely on here,
not a high volume poster. I'm not finding a quick search. So I'm just going to read the LinkedIn
post. Today's my last day at Yuga running the Bordeaux Piat Club. I joined because it was a
spaceship that landed in the backyard. You don't ask questions, you just get in.
What I didn't anticipate was how much I'd come to love
the people building with me, the team, the community,
the partners, the range of what we tacked
was genuinely hard to explain to anyone outside of it.
Unhinged social content, video games,
a thriving e-com business, incredible global live events,
a custom car, a literal nightclub, an anime series.
This is not a normal job.
It's been a dream come true for a maker-doer like me.
And doing it all inside a company
that is genuinely creative,
driven at, genuinely creatively,
creativity, genuinely creatively, creatively driven.
Wait, I'm reading this again.
And doing all that inside a company
that is genuinely creatively driven at its core.
I don't know why I can't read that.
The rarer it sounds, that's rarer than it sounds.
It changes the work, it changes the culture,
it changes what's possible.
The team has firepower and a can-do attitude.
I'll be chasing the rest of my career.
Grateful to Greg and Wiley Gordon-Garner for trusting me with something they built from nothing and care about deeply.
It's not something I'll take for granted.
The best chapters of Board of Pied Club are still ahead.
I've seen enough to say that with full confidence.
Where we're going, we don't need roads.
I wish Dave the best. I like Dave going, we don't need roads. I wish
Dave the best. I like Dave. I had many
of the events. I wish he had more
just because that's where a lot of the club
came. I am genuinely curious
if they're going to be backfilling the role
or not. A few other employees
left or asked. I don't know if it
was laid off or left. I really
don't know. But yeah, I don't know what else to add. If anyone has any thoughts, feel free to
share. As always, open stage, if anyone has any comments, thoughts, questions on anything we're
talking about or other topics on your mind, feel free to add those in the chat or through a request to join us here on stage. I would just say that I, you know, I'm still a supporter,
in the other side as some.
And I would love to see some focus
very, very other side centric right now from activity, activations, updates.
I just, most of my friends in the club aren't, some love it, but most aren't like, it's just,
it's nice. It's nice to have. It's
not why any of us joined the club. And, um, a lot of that activity is just doesn't happen anymore.
Uh, and I, I know it could be on the club. You guys can do your own. Yeah, I get all that. It's
just, you can fan the flames. They did a very good job at early on and um just not quite as much lately lately um would like to see some
updates more communications specifically for the club that's not just um that's not just other side
but um you know what overdue if anyone has has any other thoughts on Yuga or the club,
But I don't want things to be taken out of context either.
Just was around during the heyday of the club.
And I'm not saying that seems forgotten.
I know they're building out the Clubhouse.
Haven't heard an update on the Clubhouse since ApeFest,
which was October, is that right?
December, January, February, March.
I mean, we're hard on teams in crypto and Web3
for lack of frequent communication and PR.
And Yuga seems to be regressing on this front
as opposed to getting better.
Just call it like I see it.
I see Dort and Lola Dasal
and everything they do with Welcome Apes is awesome.
One of the best grassroots initiatives in crypto.
But yeah, it needs some real updates.
When is ApeFest? There's Adam Weitzman's hosting a party in New York. What's up with that?
Yeah. Like if someone asked me today, should I, I've got one ETH to spend. What NFT should I buy?
I want to join a community and a club that's vibrant and active and getting, you know, support from the team.
I probably go, would suggest Good Vibes Club over a mutant.
Just put a gun to my head.
I think there's future value and future benefit from being in that club.
There's still a lot of great people in that club.
But yeah, I agree with Dort.
Need some updates, real updates.
I don't think it's asking too much either.
They are doing an anime series.
Okay, what about some behind the scenes?
What's going on with that?
Would love to see that too.
I hope we have a new day, but I'm skeptical we will.
Does it sound more like a departure or a layoff?
I hate to speculate on something like this.
My gut is a restructure, a layoff, whatever you want to call it.
And I just say that because there's been some other moves and I don't know, three or four other team members that were on the club side have been laid off recently or like again i don't know voluntary involuntary probably doesn't matter at the end of the day but seems like just my re because of the lack of communication on other stuff
is that it's just all they're all in on the other side again i get it i understand they gotta that's
their big swing and they gotta make money the stuff i think a lot of people I'm speaking on behalf of others
the stuff that people want to see
ban the flames of some clubs
I know they're still supporting some NBA brands
they let bad teeth go and never backfill the role and didn't even say anything about it.
Just communicate. Tell us it's done.
Have people out there thinking they're going to get some support or something.
And the reality is if they're not going to be tapped as a favored vendor, then it doesn't.
vendor, then it doesn't, like, there's no, there's no program per se, other than you can build with
There's no program per se other than you can build with the IP.
the IP. I don't, I think that's more of a, I don't know if that helps today. Because there's not other
value ads there. Thank Ape was an incredible program. That's gone. Didn't mean to get doom
and gloom this way. I'm not doom and gloom. I just, yeah, opportunity says the club is in
construction phase. People don't want to see it. It will look like crap at that stage. I disagree.
I'd like to see what's going on.
Are we going to see, is it going to be open this year?
Is it going to be open next year?
Some behind the scenes stuff could go a long way
and get people excited about what's coming.
We got some renderings at ApeFest.
It's just five months is a long time to go with no updates.
And so it's like this vicious cycle.
It's the same thing happened last year is people start waiting.
People start feeling a certain way.
Disenfranchised is a word that comes up often.
And they put all their pressure,
like a year's worth of pressure of announcements into ApeFest.
And they got to, they got to throw a needle. ApeFest, the announcement was hit,
but then the momentum stalls. Then there's no five months go by and they don't talk about
anything other than the other side. And I just, I don't know, man, I think that's a big, big miss.
And it's easy. It's like, if you don't, I don't know what they were paying Dave or any of these other
people that they recently let go.
And I get you got to work towards profitability.
But man, with today's like tools and resources, like it doesn't, I don't, people aren't asking
for free magical internet money.
It's no, I don't, I've never heard one person ask for that or expect that.
It's just what's going on.
I used to be able to define it really well. I know what it could be. I know what it was. I know what
I think it's heading towards. But right now, it's... I don't know. I don't know. I don't know
how to describe it. They say it's the best place to make friends on the internet. That's the last time they came out and attempted to have like a North Star.
But for those of us that are here, for the crypto natives,
I don't know if that's true anymore.
And no one else is coming into crypto right now.
So, I don't know. Riddle me that.
I agree with Doordt again. Surprise, surprise. But proof of construct will go a longdle me that. I agree with Doordt again. Riddle, surprise, surprise. But proof of
construct will go a long, long way. I agree. People, because there is, there's people that
are, a lot of skeptics is even happening, even though it was announced. Because there's no
proof of construction. There's no, there's nothing. Like announced it five months ago.
Got a lot of people excited and then nothing for five months. What are we doing?
And now I'm going to have to reach out to them today because I don't want them to think I'm
fudding. I need to flip this. How can I help? We've had multi-year engagements with first the
Dow, then the Ape Chain team, and we hadn't asked for a renewal because I don't know what's going
on other than other side. And I didn't necessarily want to do
just an other side segment
maybe that's the route we go
maybe that's the answer as we try to do a
weekly in the club update
in the clubhouse is a weekly spaces
or excuse me weekly bubble
it just doesn't seem to be much updates on that either.
wasn't there like a monthly,
it used to be, I guess, in the Discord, right?
And then they decided, oh no, the echo is bad.
I don't know if others can.
use i guess it used to be an i've never been a holder but i know you guys would talk about the
warm there used to be like a monthly thing that would go on in the discord and then it got switched
and then the whole plan was to switch it into other side are they still doing that monthly
like update on what's going on where or no not i mean there's a weekly at the clubhouse bubbles which
is like the other side's version of spaces uh they do that weekly but no the the gated discord
meeting or just for holders is they just they start they used to have a quarterly board meeting
um which been there like their equivalent of like uh maybe like in uh the
um what's is it they just call the huddle what's the what's the penguin one
oh the yeah the huddle yeah where luca would get in on the stage in the discord and so i guess i think they still do that i'm not sure but i believe they still do that i don't know if it's weekly or
monthly but yeah there used to be like a monthly board meeting. It might've been quarterly. I think for a while it was made monthly.
They had the, I really found a lot of value and got a lot of enjoyment out of the,
now I can't, it's been so long. I don't even forget what it's called, but the made by apes
monthly segment. It was also gated in the discord. I guess it comes down to like the question.
Inner igloo. Yes. That's what I was looking for, Katie.
Inner Igloo is what I was talking about.
Why should someone go buy a mutant ape?
Let me ask a different question.
If someone is not interested in the other side of the metaverse,
they don't care about their 3D avatar.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing.
Shout out to Riss Brian and Malzanape.
I just saw they got their other side avatars.
Communities, it has become this shared home for many web through communities.
But I don't think it's enough by itself for everyone.
And so for those that aren't interested in the other side or don't,
it's like a nice to have, but no one, like someone did a pool recently,
like, would you pay $3 to get your other side avatar?
And 81% of people said no.
Small sample size, but that's just not, it's not a driver.
Disclaimer, and I fully understand why they got to put a lot of focuses and resources. I know why they have to make other
side work or at least make their best effort. I get it. I just, I think a lot of the club portion
comes down to communications. What is it? And if you're dropping a Brown and ETH on NFT to join an exclusive club,
why should someone buy a mutant over a Good Vibes Club, over a quirky?
I'm just going to now go look and pull up the other one ETH range NFTs. So mutants at 0.79, Izuki at 0.73, Little Pudgy at 0.48, Mlady at 1.3,
Moonbirds at 1. Yeah, so Kodas at 0.69. Why Good Vibes, well, Good Vibes down to 0.66 might be my
time for an entry. Doodles at 0.5. So I know it's a wide range to go from 0.5 up to 1.31 at Miladies.
I'm checking my own thoughts in my head, what I was about to say.
I'm just going to say it.
If you're looking to join a club that is going to NBA sessions, yeah, I really liked it.
Last one was in November 24.
So, well, a year and a half now.
I think they laid him off.
They never backed for the rest. I think they laid him off. They never backfilled the rest.
I assume they laid off bad teeth.
You can't pull together an NBA session?
As someone who's shown up here every day
for that 1,117 consecutive days,
and not that we have a special guest every day,
but if you said, Chris, you're going to have to host one guest a month
that people want to hear about, want to hear from.
You got to go find one guest that we have no budget.
You can't pay this person anything, but you got to bring him on
and they're going to talk to the club.
You can't find one influential person in this space or adjacent to this space
that wouldn't come and talk to an audience of the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
If it really is a great club, if there's people, and I believe there's people of value in there
that they'd like the year of, just like I think this community is great.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club community is great as well, but they're just not doing anything to fan the flames.
They haven't for a while.
or they haven't communicated what they're doing to fan the flames other than other side.
Or they haven't communicated what they're doing to fan the flames other than other side.
You talk about this app. Yes, you'll get a very warm welcoming. Thanks to
Dort and Laldasal and Marav and the team at Welkin. You should get a very warm welcoming
from people in the club. But if you're looking to grow your reach, like my PFP has now become
a detractor, not a promoter of me growing my reach outside of people who have already connected with.
I would get taken more seriously on X if I had a M'lady PFP.
That's what I wasn't going to say out loud earlier.
This isn't like, this is not, don't get me wrong.
I'm not swapping my PFP to a M'lady. Go look at any. Go look at, this isn't like, this is not, don't get me wrong, I'm not swapping my PFP to a m'lady.
Go look at any, go look at any of the creator charts, the, those that get, you know, the agencies lean on for KOL deals.
Go look at anything of like from Fantasy Top to Zete.
And they're right, there's probably, I'm going to guess,
I don't quantify this, but I'm going to guess it's probably five to one, if not 10 to one,
milady PFPs over eight PFPs. You may not like everything a milady says. I know there it's a wide range of personalities, but my overarching point is the PFP itself doesn't carry, it certainly doesn't carry
the cloud it once did on this app.
And in some cases, it is a detractor from what it once was, from having another one
I'm just trying to keep it real.
And yeah, I do hope someone from the team listens.
And like I said, I don't want to be talking behind anyone's back.
I don't want to be taken out of context.
I will reach out to the team after.
I wasn't on my Monday list.
I know we have other things to do, but I would feel guilty because I care about the club.
I'd feel guilty if they think I'm talking about them behind their backs or taking shots
at them or fighting them.
Cheesy or not, like it's very passionate about this club,
and I know it can be something so much greater than it is currently,
and it doesn't take millions of dollars from Yuga to get there.
It doesn't even take six figures to get there.
It just takes a concerted effort.
You know, Gap, I go to the meet at the clubhouses every single week.
I see Illa, Baron. meet at the clubhouses every single week i see illa baron there's usually 80 to about 100
people that show up on average every single week it meet the clubhouse mutants and apes
and if i was going to tell somebody like i just we just onboarded somebody that bought a mutant
from south korea who came in had their first experience in the other side they they own a
poker uh room out in south korea we were talking about poker in the other side. They own a poker room out in South Korea.
We were talking about poker in the other side.
Like, there's like this, I don't know if it's the network effect
or what it is that you get with the Board Ape Yacht Club,
but, you know, it's that camaraderie, that brotherhood,
that sense of fellowship that people do come and stay for.
And at least that's my experience lately.
Yeah, again, I'm not knocking it.
It's awesome that they're onboarding people from other parts of the world.
I, once again, agree with Dort.
Both of us have been around
from pretty much the jump.
or minted his original ape,
but was very, very early.
As far, I mean, as OG as OG gets.
everything flowed from ape outward.
OGs, like myself and Dora,
feel like we joined a social club
Now new members are joining a metaverse
and discovering the club inside of it.
I changed that to metaverse.
And perhaps it is a permanent change
we all just have to come to terms with. I agree. I would just like to be told that's the change.
That's what I believe the change has happened. Just why not talk about it?
Hey guys, we're not, like the club is part of the other side now, but other side is our,
I, it's easy to connect the financial dots, where the money's going, where the team is going. I get all that.
just tell us, we all get it.
I would feel better if they just came out and said,
hey, other side is going to be 95% of our focus.
There's a really cool club inside of the other side
called the Bordep Yacht Club,
but the Bordep Yacht Club is no longer our true north.
And maybe, hey, is that going to cause some OGs to leave?
Hey, this isn't what I signed up for.
This isn't what I stuck around for. This isn't what I stuck around for.
Maybe that's what they want.
Rip off the Band-Aid if that's the case.
Yeah, I think I, again, as an outsider who came into this space
because of what I saw about apes and NFTs like my first introduction to NFTs was
literally in I guess it was like September of 2021 and seeing everybody talking about you know
apes and the board api club and all these people that were joining and, you know, using these as a PFP because it was cool and you can network and all this
stuff like that to where it is today. It just like, I struggle with, you know,
there was an announcement made, I guess,
what was it like a year and a half ago now when Gordon was back and took,
took back over, I guess, or became back the CEO or something.
And he was like, you know, we're going to, we're going to focus back on, I don't remember the exact
words, but there was something about how, like, you know, we need to focus back on, on what started
it all and apes and et cetera, et cetera. And it hasn't felt that way at all listening and seeing
where they're at today. Like it feels like they've completely abandoned what made them who they were.
And I understand there's a lot of money involved, whether it was raised money, VC money,
invested money in other side. But to your point, like, we don't even know where
it's five months, six months since the announcement of, we don't even know where,
right? Like you, like me, like if they were like, it's going to be in Wynwood.
And some of us that live in South Florida could drive down to Wynwood and see some,
and see construction and be like, holy shit. Look, I drove to Wynwood
today and saw where the construction is and post pictures. Like you wouldn't even have to do it
yourself as for board API club. You could just be like, yeah, we're building in Wynwood on fourth
and 22nd across the street from whatever. And we could go take pictures, right? Like we don't even
know where it's going to be.
That, this, like, yeah, this is the whole, this is the whole point.
Like, you don't have to take on the cost.
You don't have to hire more people.
You have an incredible community that's extremely talented.
For God's sake, activate them.
Let them help share the brand.
Let them help share the story.
It's, it's not that hard.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. And I'm not saying this is I need to come up with a better title because
I feel like this was not planned, by the way. I wasn't even planning on talking about you.
I don't know how we got on this topic. But since we're here, I feel like I should swap the title
and lean into it a little bit because I do want to help. I care. The reason I'm talking about is that I truly, truly care. And just like you just described, you're like, great idea. Brilliant
idea. I mean, I'm not even an ape holder. And if you told me where it was getting built-
You'd show up and do some content. Hey, we've got some BZ Board API Club content. You've got
Laura Rodriguez down in Miami, does content all the time. She almost guaranteed she'd do some content on the clubhouse,
on the construction of the clubhouse.
You got profits is down in Miami.
You know, by the way, I've been asking this.
Laura and profits to people who rocked a,
a Yuga ape or mute and or mutant PFP for the longest time.
Near certain both still hold and both are still members of the club,
but both have shifted away from that in terms of their digital identity.
Maybe that's different. I don't know if they were involved a little bit.
Hizzy is in the market for a mutant.
He's been looking at a mutant.
He was going to buy one last week.
He was transferring some ETH around
and the Coinbase delay got him.
And, you know, he's asking, you know,
for one ETH, mutant, ape, Yuga,
large ecosystems, he's better for me
I don't see myself PFPing one of those.
Now an honorary with a camera would be different.
I'll just read my response out loud. Yeah, and probably,
especially if they said, hey, we've got this clubhouse opening up. We'd really like some
behind-the-scenes footage, Hizzy. Can you go take some pictures for us? We'll pay for your flight,
and you do everything else. We don't have a budget. We can't pay you, but we'll repost it.
We'll share on socials. I don't know. I don't speak for his. Maybe he can't afford to do that.
Maybe he can't afford to take time out of his schedule to go work for free other than travel.
But I bet there's other photographers in Miami that will do it.
Guarantee you there are the people that will.
But instead of going that route and activating an extremely talented community,
I feel as if they're making these decisions based on,
oh, we can't hire that agency or we can't hire that employee.
They're going to cost us a quarter million dollars.
Well, don't hire people then.
Work with the freaking incredible community
that you have and fan those flames.
They used to be the best in the,
maybe the best in the world,
certainly the best in crypto
at fanning the flames of their community,
making people feel special and welcome.
And now, thank God we have welcome apes that helps new holders feel warm and welcome.
And they're part of something bigger than just their PFP.
We'll get to all the hands.
I appreciate everyone jumping up.
I do want to share one thing real quick, Joey, and then I'll go right back to you.
Zonko says, I used to tap into the clubhouse spaces, but once they fully transitioned
to other side, I stopped.
I think the accessibility of Twitter is just so much stronger. I can't run other side and do separate things on my phone. I can't lock in just the other side sometimes. I can't lock
into just the other side sometimes. I'm the exact same way. I wholeheartedly agree. I like the other
side. I understand what they're building. As far as the weekly at the clubhouse, I think I probably attended nearly every single one
when they were on Twitter spaces.
And I just don't do it because I'm busy at that time.
It's like my schedule when they host those
in the afternoons or the evenings for me.
I just am not in front of my computer.
But if it was the spaces, I'd tune into every one.
It's awesome that people are signing up. Feedback for myself and many others is
find a way to do both. Hard stop. Like you're missing out on people who aren't in the club,
aren't going to other side to hear at the clubhouse. And maybe that's cool. Maybe that's
what they want. But it used to be they know they'd have at the clubhouse basically be three,
400 people in those because they didn't have to be in the other side. And I, again, I get it. I understand why they're doing it. I just, it's, and maybe, maybe they just want
people like me and Zonko and Dort just to, hey, just, just floor and get the F out. This isn't,
we're now, we're a metaverse. We're the other side. And I'm not going anywhere. I said,
I was making a 10-year commitment. I just, it's so, it's frustrating
because the stuff that many OGs want to see come back,
it's not expensive stuff.
A lot of it is cost neutral or free.
It's just a little bit of time and attention.
Joey, I said we'd go back to you
and then we'd get cheeseless in here.
I had to refresh my ex. I didn't even see that there were other people on stage with their hands
up but real quick and to macavelli's point like i think it's cool that people go but no offense to
macavelli 80 to 100 people is not a lot of people attending something right like i think like to Cap's point, like I remember when, you know, any ape would host the spaces on X and there'd be 500 to a thousand people in there to listen to them talk about anything.
And I love what you're doing, Machiavelli.
I think your company and like how you're committed to helping build and grow other side is awesome.
you're committed to helping build and grow. Other side is awesome. I just think that they're,
they've lost, like to Cap's point, I, I, again, I wasn't a polar. I would tune into those spaces
because I wanted to know what was going on because they were literally the tugboat that was pulling
this whole space in the right direction. And now I, now I never see anything and I'm not getting another side
stop building out the other side.
It's a little bit of time
and effort and attention.
it's about communications and PR.
And I attest, I was at the recent Welcome Apes space.
I listened to them when they kicked off their new website.
It says, from our work with Welcome Apes,
we can see the newest class of these are very active,
ready to activate, creating local chapters,
The membership is very strong and really awesome.
Risa, it's the Ape Chain community,
helps each other, artists, project leaders,
help build and grow others and survive.
Apes and mutant apes will help,
Credit the community for being eternally hopeful
not trying to fud, I swear,
but the State of the Club update will go a long way.
One state of the update a year at ApeFest is just not enough.
Because then we start, then, like, this is what creeps in.
What you're hearing today is what creeps in.
Find me someone else who's rocked an ape from Mint.
I might be the only person on this app who's rocked my PFP that I minted every
day since mint. Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil. It's different. He's changed the one. It's not the
same one. Oh, damn it. It's not the same one, is it? I don't think there's another person on the
planet who minted an ape and has wore it as a PFP every single day since mint. Garga.
You're right. Garga and Gordon. You're right. A non-founder. I'll wait.
Not trying to fund. I care. And it has been great. It can be great. This is an and conversation,
not an or. It's not stop doing other side stuff. It's not stop doing the bubbles.
I agree. I'm like, I won't stop doing everything I can to make sure new members get
the spotlight to deserve. I'm not doing it for the new members like they are, but if there's
stuff to talk about, I'll talk about, just let me know. I'm not any different than any other member.
We're all the same. We have the same access, the same members. There's other people that host
spaces and have a platform. Payne does that.
There's not even 500 to 1,000 people in 99% of the spaces now unless it gets bought.
I also agree with Joey that I think more people in Zonko and myself, more people would attend those update spaces if it was also on spaces.
Or I'm going to record it and then put the recording out somewhere.
Just, or, or other sides on mobile and way easier to get in while you're doing other things.
I know, and I know it sounds like such a me problem because I'm sure when eight o'clock
in a.m. Eastern time is not ideal for a lot of people across the planet.
A lot of people across the planet.
I just wish it was an and, not you.
If you want any updates, you have to go into the other side.
And it's not even a consistent time, which is also a challenge.
I don't even know when it is.
It's on Thursdays, I think.
Sometimes it's at 3 p.m. Eastern.
Sometimes it's at 6 p.m. Eastern.
And I'm not taking shots.
And I'm, you know, I've been in from the jump.
And maybe that's what they want.
They like the opaqueness or the things being vague.
But when I look at those that are performing well, yeah, the Hustle House is a good one.
And I think he has had the same PFP, if not for Mint.
I don't know if he minted that thing, but he's definitely had it close.
Cool Chick adds, I don't enjoy the clubhouse on the other side.
I don't have time to sit at my computer and listen to people talk.
A lot of people like the spaces better than Bubbles.
Not everyone has an hour to log in.
And these are people who love the club.
We're just like, bring it a little back to us or do both.
Like everything going so other side focused, it's turning people off.
Or it's making them feel not as welcome or not as part of and they are like listen to door listen
like there's so much going on it's all positive stuff like what macavela just shared about this
person that just onboarded for me cool no 80 people are hearing it there's thousands of people
in the club 80 people 80 to 100 people are hearing that every week because there's no other updates
anywhere the website's not been updated the discord i, I don't know. I haven't been in the Discord
forever. Maybe I'm going to get some new problem with this.
I'm on the Bored Ape Yacht Club Twitter as well, so you can literally
watch it on Twitter, the live stream,
And hundreds, or at least
a thousand or two people watch that every week as well.
So the information is getting
out there. The content is, you know,
viewable and listened to by
every club member just by watching the
live stream on the X account.
Honestly, Cap, I just feel like people
make excuses. You know what I'm saying?
And I know that it does seem
so focused and stuff like that, but like
sometimes you gotta meet people where there are
and vice versa, you know?
It's definitely an evolving
Because the 12th is what?
So Thursday at 6 o'clock.
It was shared from the Vordepiak Club account.
I was at my daughter's lacrosse game. It's going to take priority. Now, if it was shared from the board apli club account i was at my daughter's lacrosse
game it's going to take priority now if it was a yes i guess i could listen to the video spaces
in one year as i'm at the lacrosse game uh maybe it's an east coast thing for me
like see the replay was 35 minutes like maybe's, maybe weekly is too much.
It does stream to X every Thursday.
I'll attempt to tune in more.
At least I can watch the replay.
Nova says, I stopped carrying as soon as they took the ape chain is an app chain for other side stance.
Jesus, appreciate your patience.
Oh, this fucking echo is back.
You can power through it.
I think you can power through it.
We're going to power through it.
Bro, I 100% feel your pain.
We're literally going through the same thing within Creeps.
And it's been talks of this coming and that coming and this going and money here and money there.
And then projects being sold recently.
And the team never really even announced it they you know the creeps team sold portal they sold somo they sold all this
to animoka we never got any word directly from the team just a little bit here and there one founder
mia for like a year and it's like you know but they literally have given like zero uh you know power to anyone
anyone that knows me knows me from this pfp um they don't know me from my doodle before they
don't know me from other other you know pfps that i've had so you know for someone like myself and
i feel just like you that i've been representing the brand for four years there's been no you know, for someone like myself, and I feel just like you, that I've been representing the
brand for four years, there's been no, you know, no support in that way. At times you get them to
come on spaces and they, you know, but it's like, if you have a powerful community, why are you not
using them? I understand you as a founder are busy. I understand you as a founder have to go raise funds.
You have to do the things that we as a community have no insight on or no input on, you know,
financially. It's up to you guys to make sure you're spending the money the correct way
that provides value back to holders. But if you completely ignore your community,
But if you completely ignore your community, if you completely just like leave it into the wind, you're going to have problems.
You know, we have one of our largest holder seed phrase just dumping that fucking will, you know.
And people are going to leave.
They're going to get frustrated.
And it's going to happen in Bored Apes, Pudgy Penguins.
Doesn't matter what brand it is.
I think a lot of founders forget
the roots of where their brand started.
Most of these people started like a Steve Jobs
Everybody started in their garage.
Nobody in this space came from, you know,
they were not, now you have artists
that are emerging that were successful prior but i think a lot of these teams take their
communities for granted and if they would just empower the community to you know drive things
for them while they're busy building i think it it would change the landscape all across NFTs in general, you know.
And I've kind of seen Luca in them.
And this isn't me glazing Luca because I know there's issues in Pudgy
because I have friends that are Pudgy holders.
And while they may have their inner igloos and they may have their things their
community still has frustrations about things yep so but at the same time luca went and hired
the loudest voices he hired the most active users on x and he put them in positions to be on x
I know they have probably weekly calls with some of these people, you know,
and he empowered his community.
Is that causing all FUD to go away?
There's always going to be FUD.
You're not going to please everybody.
Somebody's always going to be pissed.
But if you just blatantly ignore your community,
like if I had the money right now,
my PFP would be either a Bored Ape or a Pudgy Penguin.
And I would change it, rebrand it, do everything.
Because I've lost the faith in founders
I lost the faith in the direction of the brand
because of no communication.
And, you know, it's sad for me to say that because when you see me live on stream,
I have nothing but my POP shit behind me.
I have pictures on the wall.
I have people that make me stuff and send me stuff all the time.
Shit just arrives in the mail.
And it sucks sucks you know and founders founders have lost sight of maybe not the vision but they lost sight of like i think
how the community and the team should be interacting and some people you know i think
they get a little big for their br. Yeah, well, communication is key.
Teacher Katie says her motto is communication is key.
I also now am connecting the dots as to how we got on this rant this morning.
If you didn't want to hear this,
I'm not doing anything differently.
Just talking about it. But blame Riggs. This is all Riggs' fault for sharing Dave's LinkedIn post.
And also, yes, Josh Ong, Baron Von Hustle, my OG brethren that have rocked their same PFP
that they minted. Sal salute to them. Maybe Captain
Trippy. I'm not sure if he minted the Trippy Ape or he picked it up afterwards. But yeah,
there's a few of us. There's a few of us that have not wavered from the jump. And I hope,
I hope none of this is being taken. I also just not to correct you, Jesus, I, but I also want to
say they are supportive. Like I think it wasn't long ago where
we were talking about the code of vibe coding in Other Side and Impromptu while traveling,
Figgy jumped on the stage and spent a good hour with us. Like, they will support, they'll attend
spaces. Yeah, Tropo as well. Tropo Far still rocking his, his, his OG ape, even though he
was the one building pudgy world. There's, there is a lot of legends that haven't left.
Yeah. And, and, and I remember the space where he came in and talked about all that.
My point is it does not take very long for you to put out even a 10 minute video in discord of five you know just a monthly
update hey guys this is what we're doing this is how things are going jesus you gotta be locked in
bro that i feel like all of the things you are complaining about right now all of that shit's
happening but we know because we're tapped in and since you guys are not like or other people
i think that's the problem i think i think this is exactly the problem though, is what I'm hearing from Machiavelli is it's everything you guys want is
but you got to be locked into the other side.
And what about the people who are locked in the other side?
How do they become aware of this stuff?
How do they find out even?
You don't have to be locked into the other side.
they're constantly on the timeline,
You know what I'm saying?
You can reach out in the DMs.
Like, you don't have to be locked into the other side for BoardApe Yacht Club
and still be a part of this and have the network effect and all of that.
That's just, like, the added bonus now.
You know what I'm saying?
It's, like, we have that digital place to meet and stuff like that.
It's just, like, I just think that, like, because of, like, the direction that crypto has moved in and if t's have moved in crypto that comp like that that uh big congregation
points and stuff like that are no longer the same on x people lose that sensibility of a feeling of
togetherness or whatever because they're not on a social audio platform screaming at each other
anymore you know i don't like i hear you but i also see i see cab out there
from klano's i hold a popkins a single popkins i feel like i know far more about what klano's is
doing than do board of yacht club right now like i know what board of yacht club is planning to do
but i don't know what they've done since ape fest it's all comms and it's all comms and ease of access.
Like, it has to be there.
It doesn't need to be in a gated Discord.
What good does comms in a gated Discord do if people that are interested in the brand
can't access the information?
You know, what good is it in other side
if people don't know about other side
or don't have time to go through it?
I literally had to beg him to get on stream just to go in other side.
who do we see there as soon as we get in Machiavelli,
But people that don't have information.
And then you have someone who's been,
champion the brand such as captain and,
and so many others, you know, for so many years.
Like, I think the ease of information, like a month, even just a monthly ex post of a recap, it does not take long with AI right now.
You can literally sit on the toilet and compose a tweet.
Like, it doesn't take that much for teams to have comms that come out, you know.
And I think that's one of the biggest missing things in the space
because we don't even know if half the founders exist, you know.
And, again, it's not just a Yuga thing.
It's one we're having to be talking about a lot this morning.
Yeah, I was going to go somewhere similar.
Riggs, Briss Bryant put it better.
Toilet comms, like, plays well with apes and Dookie Dash and everything.
Like, they could literally do exactly what you just said.
It would have, I think, a positive impact.
I'm going to pin this quick digression,
but from another fellow legendary ape,
his thread on Magic Eden shutting down,
what does it mean for you?
With Magic Eden's support shutting down
all their NFTs except Solana
and discontinuing their wallet,
there are steps everyone should take ASAP.
Let's review them below. Pin that up top, especially if you have EVM NFTs except Solana and discontinuing their wallet. There are steps everyone should take ASAP. Let's review them below. Pin that up top, especially if you have EVM NFTs over there on Magic Eden.
Don't sleep on that. Definitely get it done. Someone needs to run with this. I'll share
toilet comms. I'm going to message them today because if not, I'll probably be taking out
contacts. I'm going to be like, oh, Apple's just fudding apes all morning. I'm not.
I share because I care, but I'm going to share. I'm going to think, oh, Cap'l's just fudding apes all morning. I'm not. I share because I care.
I'm going to also share toilet comms.
I think that could be a segment for sure.
Coming soon on Coffee with Captain.
Let's go back to Joey, and then we'll get Machiavelli back in here.
Not to change the subject, but Jesus made a good point about how like you know his whole persona is this is
this creeps for four years now and you know everyone knows him by this creeps and he gets
all this stuff said to him and we've had this conversation in the past about like the the risk
of building a a brand around a pfp i mean like like you just heard from jesus all of the i i not to be negative but
all the reasons why not to build a brand around a pfp like do we still believe that building a brand
around these pfp nfts is the right thing to do if you're trying to make this a career yeah that's the golden yeah i mean it
kind of puts you uh joey like in the hands of like you know when aws goes down in your hand
in your whole company's tied to that and then all of a sudden oh that sucks our claws just
disappear you know what i'm saying so like everything like yeah, yeah, I'm putting, I put my faith into a team.
I built a brand around it.
And then if the team is no longer like it, I know they're still actively building, but
they're not building the brand that I invested in.
They're doing other things until the market comes back.
It's like, for me, I see brands that are just dropping no matter what.
It's like, just if you got it, send it, drop it. If it's good, people i see brands that are just dropping no matter what it's like just if you got it send it drop it if it's good people will people will use it people will play the games
people will do stuff so you know um yeah i mean it is a risk but at this point i would have more
faith in you know me personally i would have more faith in lucanets or you know garga um you know me personally i would have more faith in luca nets or you know garga um you know
so that's that's i mean cap you said it earlier too when you were like you know i feel like my
pfp doesn't garner you know the the type of positivity and excitement that it used to
i mean are you can i can i comment on that specifically because i i do have a i i think i
think you guys are missing the reason creeps and apes are two different things the problem with
creeps is nobody knows if the founders are even going to do anything or if they're trying to sell
the company that's the problem with creeps the problem with apes and i hate to tell you guys
this like you guys are community members but from the outside the reason the vibes and the attention
isn't all on apes is because no one knows how it's going to make them money because if i'm looking at apes
right now i'm going they already dropped like six different fucking collections they already
dropped a token like what what else are they going to give me as a holder what is the roi
on a on a on a board eight plus anybody for that was around from last cycle remembers getting
rugged by pay cpfps constantly that was kind of the meta remembers getting rugged by PAYC PFPs constantly.
That was kind of the meta.
You buy a Bored Ape, you fire up your Twitter account, you launch some second radar, and then you disappear with the mint money.
That's the problem with apes.
And Joey, just to your thing.
I think that's a bullshit statement, an idiot.
Well, correct me if I'm wrong.
You tell me what should I speculate from an ape.
If I buy a Bored Ape, what should I speculate is my ROI.
I mean, if you're buying a Bored Ape right now, you should not expect an ROI.
Like, that's the problem.
Okay, and again, we're in Web 3, and this is crypto.
Machiavelli's getting mad.
I love you, Mach, and, and you know that's all good and everything
but that's not what most of us are here for i'll agree with both of you i i don't think you should
be buying any nft with a financial expectation today uh maybe in the future but today unless
it is a short term you're going to buy this thing and sell into a token TGE pump or you're doing it for token allocation. Unless something changes, I can't think of a single NFT that I would suggest someone
goes and spends a half ETH to an ETH on or more and expect to get something in the form of a
dividend or something that's going to be a money printer for them. I think those days are gone. So I agree with an idiot, but I also agree with Machiavelli
that it doesn't have to be that.
It's just like people don't join a country club
with the expectation of financial return,
but they do know what they're getting with the club.
That's well communicated.
Door on fire in the the jazz this is constructive criticism
if it doesn't work there is room for improvement we've seen it better not talking about the
financial reward i get what you're saying it idiot would it be easier would more people care
or pay attention if there was some huge financial reward for for holding an ape yeah sure but it
doesn't have to be that no i agree but and i know it sounds like I'm singling out Bored Apes because I only said
Bored Apes. But that's why people aren't interested in NFTs broadly right now is because that's just
not where the attention is. Like the NFT vibes. I think the problem here is you guys are zoomed
in on do Bored Ape Yacht Club. And the reality is the NFT vibes are not what they used to be.
And Bored Ape Yacht Club used to be the pinnacle of that
right that's i think the point i'm trying to make but roi also doesn't have to be financial
to like what cap was saying like if if i knew when the club in miami was going to open all the
benefits associated with it as somebody who lives in south florida you told me, Hey, the club is definitely opening Q3, Q4, 2026. And by holding
a mutant, you get, you know, free entry every single day, you get 10% off food and drinks,
you get, you know, first priority to special event ticketing you get right. And then as a
regular ape, you get VIP table discounts. And I could sit there and say okay as someone who lives in south florida
i want to spend an eth on a mutant or five eth on an eight because i know i'm going to go to this
club and that's where i'm going to get my roi from there would be a reason so it doesn't have to be
to your point an idiot it doesn't have to be like a financial return where like is a token coming
you know is price going to go up we like to Machiavelli's point, you're joining a club, but what is the club?
Like, I don't, like, what is the club that I'm getting?
And we'll go back to Machiavelli here in a second.
And then I hand it to you, Joey.
I did see Bouvet joined us.
Bouvet, if you want to join the conversation, just throwing a hand up
that we know you want to get in here.
After I go to Machiavelli, I'm going to run, refill the coffee.
So if Mac's done, Joey, if you don't mind jumping back in and then handing it off to
I just want to hit a couple of comments first.
Cool Chick adds, holding an ape isn't about making money.
It's about networking and connections, which I would say can lead to making money.
Zane adds, an idiot is such a great name.
An idiot is maybe my favorite name
of all time on crypto Twitter.
I would rebrand Captain Zwingli
Can I just quickly do that?
but I can network all day long on X
with a PFP that I drew in AI.
But, like, nobody's hanging out in discords
anymore no one's hanging out in these token gated channels in the club brother you can't network in
the club and that's the point is that you're networking within the club it is a it is a
private community it's a club that's so you can network everywhere you go i can network at walmart
bro you know what i'm saying that don't mean shit you know what i mean very good take and i will say
i'm not trying to make it about the billionaire,
but it's a real network, like including a real billionaire. He's having people up to his home
in upstate New York later this summer. Like there is movers and shakers inside the club.
It's just not as talked about as often on the timeline to, I think, an idiot's point is because
you can't just make money just simply by buying an asset. You got to be active. You got to get involved. As McAvill would say, you got to lock
in. I'm trying to find that middle ground where, like Dobbins says, everything in the club is
announced, the posts just don't show up on the timeline like they used to. Spaces, other side,
new collabs, games, notifications are key. That's why you have to have someone. That's why there has to be someone there rally
in the community. That's their job. Yes. Yes. And yes. And this is how this whole conversation
started is Blaine Briggs, Rick shared Dave Evans, who used to be leading the club and he departed
Yuga. We heard it from Dave. We haven't heard anything from Yuga.
Are you backfilling this position?
I'll throw my name in the hat.
I'll do it for free for a little while.
I'm not going to work forever, but I would help because I care.
Yeah, I mean, how do we not have, well, not we, I don't hold an ape.
But maybe there is somebody doing this or maybe Ape Foundation or whoever can put something together to where these calls have rewards for Clippers
to be in the other side and be listening or whatever
and putting out Ape rewards for Clips for this stuff to be shared.
Actually, we're looking for a Clip intern right now.
We are hiring at other games for the clip intern for the other side.
You can go check the post on the page.
Make sure they clip at the clubhouse.
Zane, who's probably the best, the most knowledgeable person in terms of viral social media in all of crypto.
The guy has managed social for the biggest creators in the world, from Mr. Beast to Logan Paul to Nick, the food guy who's got millions of followers. He's a legend. He has a very good understanding of this. He's
like, dude, no one's watching a recap of a 35-minute video. People will tune in live.
Very few people are going to go listen to a 35-minute, and I'm guessing 35 minutes is probably
one of the shorter in the clubhouse. They need people clipping this. This, this isn't, oh, maybe this works.
Every large country creator in the world has a team of clippers, unpaid in most cases.
But you've got to fan those flames a little bit.
And it's, I know it's easier said than done.
It's very easy for me to sit up here and quite literally Monday morning quarterback this.
Bro, they could literally get with Jonah.
Somebody could stream this to Twitch.
His AI could clip it automatically with everything that he has built.
And you can empower a whole community of Clippers.
You don't want to narrow it down to one person sharing something on their timeline.
You want to be able to take those clips and have 100 hundred people competing for a pot of ape coin every month like this is what your job is for that that one day and create
dynamic clips and put the content out there it's like it's it's not it's not difficult but you if
you limit it to one person doing it and one person sharing it and then maybe three or four other apes like reposting it it's
not going to gain any traction and it's not going to grow the community um i said we go to maca valley
and then we let joey hand off to bouvet uh i'll probably be back by then i'll just i gotta since
many of you have already heeded my request to head over and like this video on YouTube and
subscribe to the Coffee with Captain channel while you're over there, those of you who'd
already done that, as we continue this conversation, don't leave, but open another
tab and go subscribe to, I'll subscribe while I'm here too, Nick DiGiovanni. He's striving to become
the number one food channel, 34 million subs. This is, I hope I'm okay to say this is Zane is not working for Nick, but working
with Nick at this time, you know, 7 million views, 50 million views, 22 million views,
45 million views. Did that just say I burned my wiener? I don't know when, I don't know how,
it's not gonna be today, but someday you're going to, you're going to tune into Coffee
with Kappen and I'm absolutely stealing absolutely stealing this as a rage bait title.
Burn My Wiener will be a future title on Coffee with Captain.
Someone just heard me say that.
It's spring break, so I'm going to go apologize.
Do you need an ointment or antibiotics?
What kind of burn are we talking about here, Captain?
I don't know, but it apparently worked.
It gets 45 million views.
If you talk about changes,
change the title to burn my,
Can I turn Mr. Beast into a chef?
50 ways to use a watermelon.
Who's the one that you told me that worked for Mr. Beast and all that?
That's the segment we're really missing here
on Coffee with Captain is one minute of pain with Zane.
That is my personal wishlist item.
like I do care about having Garga back on
or Figgy or James, all the above.
I care about all of them.
But really my number one request for Coffee with Captain
One Minute of Pain with Zayn here before the end of the year.
Machiavelli, the mic is yours.
And then Joey, if I'm not back, feel free to-
One Minute of Pain with Zayn while a cat burns his wing.
That's a big title right there.
Listen, I'm not angry about any of this.
I'm just very passionate.
You know what I'm saying?
So I just want to get that point across and go ahead, Bouvet, because I care. You know what I'm saying? And I'm active. You know what I mean? So I just want to get that point across.
I just wish more people were locked in.
But I know how life works.
You know what I'm saying?
But if you want to be here, you'll be here.
One, two. Yeah, that's great. Thank you, guys. mic check mic check all good? one two
minted out and I'm here to this day you, so I guess it could be a little biased, but the thing is for me, for example, it was getting into like the international scene and knowledge, like being in a landlocked country and just like getting this pure knowledge from everybody, like networking, like you guys say right so you learn from everybody
like if you can't travel that much or if you don't know much places to go it's like your personal
friends network uh that's like one thing knowledge right and the second thing if i speak as a space
host then i agree with captain completely because that those people influence a lot of people on board a lot and influence the ecosystem a lot.
So I believe it's harder to start something back up if all goes down, right?
You don't see much more ape spaces or like board ape spaces.
And of course, the focus is on other side and Machiavelli and their team doing great job, like streaming that onboarding people.
And that's like, brings it to my next point.
The other side, uh, as a builder now, right.
If I put on my builder hat, uh, let's say you had all these like visions and
long-term plans for everything, but it's public information Garga tweeted out.
If like the Apechain projects are not building for other side, then what are
Right? I think don't quote me on that, but somebody can pin it up. So that means the whole focus from first it was ApeCoin,
now Ape Chain and then now other side. And then I think they're trying to ramp transactions with the onboarding,
transfers, swaps, NFT, buy, sells, marketplace, everything.
And so when you give this focus to the other side, yeah, that's what happened literally, right?
The top says other side, so everybody goes for it. And of course, it's going to leave out some space like X spaces that are important, some community members, some updates.
updates and then i guess having said all that then as an ape it was uh this year in uh january
february when i attended a hackathon uh met vitalik talked a lot of top tier like intelligent
people like for two months straight it was like azuzulu format so that's where like my mind kind
of shifted because for three four years i had like the i'm still a member of the club and
ape and everything right but i was in like a box where like getting out is wrong or staying inside
you know you know how it feels right it's like uh like people who sold even if they sold like
5x from the floor now you'll still say oh what are you doing why you sell but we look at it today
maybe they're right you know but it's uh but they were there for maybe like, and I
said, like, maybe they're there for the speculation.
But then when this hackathon and Vitalik and all these say, they look at your PFP, I guess
now the topic changes the PFP guys.
So they're like, you look like a crypto degen, right?
So I was like, is that going to affect me?
And he was like, yeah, like, you need to make sure that when people go see you, okay, we get that you're part of the community
and you're like, stand strongly for it. But you need to have this like personal branding and
what you do and everything you represent and everything will be better. Even like you'll
get clients and stuff. So I kind of listened to their advice to just to just see what happens,
right guys. And then my take from that was, I monetized i got subscriptions on i got i landed a couple deals and like that stuff i'm not
sure like we don't believe it in web 3 like oh you need to have like a pudgy or board eight but
in the end when companies look at your profile they want like a professional right so maybe
there's different takes on that but for me it personally helps and the second thing i noticed when ape uh posts an ape like now the difference between my
post is like i post before and then people used to just click like it because i'm an ape right
because ape support ape and all that and now these days when i post the likes are less but the people
who like genuinely interact with it are
more quality, shall I say, right? Yeah, I'm not going to ramble on much, but anyways,
there is like different focus at the top and it's how you look at it and you guys all bring like
great perspectives, but my first point is the most important. If you forget all the rest of the ones,
the first point is like me being here and learning from you guys.
It's like international overseas knowledge for me.
So that's the way I look at it.
I appreciate you, Sharon.
I think it is, as with many things, what you get out is going to be in direct proportion to what you put in.
And I don't think any of the, I would say this, it is no doubt.
There's still a lot of passion amongst many of the community members and OGs, new and the like.
And a lot of, to all the other comments, a lot of this information is there.
I think where I net out is not just Bordecai Club, but many of the OG, and maybe part of it's like,
well, maybe the challenge is there's just, there's not much to update on a weekly basis or a monthly basis or a quarterly basis.
That's probably a problem if you don't have at least a quarterly update.
And I think that's kind of where, as I think it was, again, not planned this morning, wasn't certainly not planned on going this long on it.
planned this morning. It wasn't certainly not planned on going this long on it, but a lot of
good, invoked a lot of conversation, a lot of good feedback, a lot of good questions, some critique,
as well as suggestions, as well as, hey, this works, go check this out. So I appreciate everyone
who came up and shared. It's very helpful. It was helpful for me and some things that I will
check out as well. I think at the end of the day, it's
check out as well. I think at the end of the day, it's quarterly maybe is where I land for all these
OG collections, some sort of state of the club, some sort of state of the union on a
semi-regular basis that's not just once a year or waiting for an event. Because
when you wait for a once a year annual event to make announcements and give updates, it drives so much pressure.
And then about five or six months goes by.
And this isn't the first time that this has happened.
It happens about every five or six months where there's no, from any of the brands, sometimes even shorter.
This just came on the back of the guy who was leading the club leaving
and no communication other.
Okay, is that position getting filled?
Is there anyone leading the club anymore?
Is it just rolling up to Garga?
As a club member, I don't know.
Now, I know who I can go to any of them and get a DM response. I don't know if someone joins the club Wednesday and they sit in on the next Welcome Apes space or bubbles that Dorton Law and Marav and them host.
them host and they said, I need to reach out to someone in the club. I'm guessing they suggest go
to Illa or Baron or start there. Like, but if it's who's leading the club, I've got, I want to bring
a big deal to the club. I want to bring this fun new activate, no charge. I just would like to
provide it to all club members. Who's, I don't know.
Now, maybe they, oh, reach out to Garga.
Maybe Garga gets back to every new club member, to DMs.
I don't think that's probably his best use of time,
just based on what volume could become
and the fact that I get how big of a deal
other side is right now and why it's their focus.
But I do think having someone fanning the flames of the community, communities, talking beyond just Yuga, beyond just Portia Pia Club, there's a lot of really incredible communities and teams out there.
And I don't want to, I saw Cab just joined us.
I'm not trying to put Cab on the spot.
I appreciate you jumping up.
Appreciate you tuning into the space, friend of the show.
I mean, what I said earlier, like I do feel pretty updated on what Klaino's has going on.
I think you said, I just show up.
There's a lot of updates that come out of the Klaino's corporate account.
And then I see a team from Swiv who's in here almost every day to yourself.
I get a DM from Cab almost who's in here almost every day to yourself.
I get a DM from Cab almost anytime there's something meaningful material
because they've earned media.
Just like Bordy Piacob has earned media with me.
Have we done sponsored engagements in the past?
Yeah, but if they tell me something,
I'll talk about it because I like them.
And we don't charge for everything.
We talk about things we want to...
Now, hey, Cab, don't tick me wrong.
If you guys want to do a deal... I'm a free agent, by the way. My badge is charge for everything. We talk about things we want to. Now, hey, Cab, don't take me wrong. If you guys want to do a deal.
I'm a free agent, by the way.
My badge is up for grabs.
I truly appreciate you sharing updates with me.
And as a result, like, I share it with a few hundred people that tune into the show every day.
That's, this is, I'm not. This isn't like a let's glaze
Cab because he jumped up on stage. It's what they're doing is working. And they're not the
only one. But Cab, I do want to ask, do you have, I don't know, it's probably not even called a club,
but your community, do you have a community lead? Do you have someone that is responsible, not for building out the IP and doing all these deals and going to speak at
keynotes at these major IP conferences and everything that Klaino's is doing is outside of
crypto, outside of crypto Twitter. It's really impressive. It's very important.
What you're doing on socials and other channels is very important. But do you have, is there an individual that is responsible for
leading and communicating with your quote unquote crypto community? Would that be Swiv? Is that,
like, I don't want to, I don't want to misspeak or I don't want to put titles or responsibilities
that aren't accurate, but do you have someone that does that for Klainos?
Yeah. I mean, okay. Good questions and really good convo the last little bit over an hour.
It's tough. Okay, I'll give you the Klano side. First of all, we try, if you're in the Klano
community, you would know this, but we try to do quarterly town halls, no matter what. And then we
try to do like secondary town halls as often as we can. I think a big problem, I'll get into that after.
Let me just answer the question.
Yes, obviously we have a community that's guesty.
I love that you're mentioning Swiv because Swiv is a big, big piece of the puzzle.
He's a big part of the community.
He's kind of known as like our collector.
He's the guy, if you need to find a certain trait or whatever, like he'll find out who owns it.
And he's like a matchmaker of sorts.
But I also count him as part of the community team.
And he's part, he attends all of our internal community calls, of which we usually have like six to eight people in those calls, including at least one founder.
And I think that one of the issues is a lot of big accounts forget
that repetition is key. Even if you said something last week, no one's going to remember it. It's
going to get lost like a needle in a haystack, which is probably why I bug you so often.
And by the way, we're not perfect. A lot of times there's people that are asking like,
what's Klano's up to? And it's a lot to manage but I think that
the secret is leveraging and enabling the right community members that like you say love it really
want to be a part of it and because it's meaningful to them they're more often than not
really strong team members once they come on board because they care so much about the brand or the company or their history with it.
So I think it's a really important piece that I would suggest any founder look at.
We do have a club. We have Klano Capital, which is basically like Klano Club.
It's almost like our Mickey Mouse Club.
You need 25 of the big character assets to
join. And that's like our VIP networking club of which we've held crazy events all over the world
for them, usually featuring like the who's who, whether it's on Solana or entertainment people.
It's really awesome. Private dinners, you name it. They're a great narrative distribution tool for us, as are all the sub-DAOs.
Technically, we call them tribes. But what we're building towards is creating like a master club,
almost like a senate that puts all the DAOs or the tribes together. And then they have weeklies.
And then they communicate with us if anything's wrong.
And so once you build that network, you have a lot, the founders can have a big pulse on
what's happening in the trenches.
They should still be in the trenches, by the way, but at least it helps because so much
We can communicate all this stuff that might feel small to us, but is big to them.
And so they have a pulse and then they can
tell everyone else um and i think that the the holders trust us to not be you know inventing
things that said one of the most difficult things for a founder or founding team in the space
is moving goal posts because a lot of a lot of djens might not understand that dude sometimes
you have to pivot and sometimes we've said this, and then legal comes in and waxing for like, an extra three
months or whatever. And when you start announcing dates, which we try not to do anymore, you're
putting those dates on a pedestal. I remember there's like a really amazing holder, not going
to name them, but kind of mentioned to me, like, you got to be really careful with dates because because then everyone thinks it's going to be like.
If there's collectors that are in it for their own reasons, they look at dates like a like a possible exit and then everybody puts that pedestal.
So we try to avoid that with Clay knows because we've had to change dates all the time, not because we wanted to just shit happens.
But we definitely communicate when shit is happening.
So as best we can, we don't avoid the hard conversations.
And we tell people when things aren't going the way we planned or when we're pivoting, except if there's like an NDA or something like that. But aside from that, we try to, over a long period of time, condition people to understand,
well, this is a startup. Sometimes things are shifting around, but when they shift around,
we try our best to communicate that as well in real time. And we're building towards better
foundations to do that. Foundations being, again, these sub-community groups, these community leads, a sort of like tribe of tribes, you know, VIP clubs.
It's a little bit like, I guess, like Spirit Da or something like that.
the founders being there and having a pulse uh you know being collectors themselves having a post
sorry a pulse on on on web3 at large on crypto twitter and and it's not easy dude i i don't like
sleep and neither does most of the team and it's startup vibes and it's tough but it's kind of part
of the game and i think it's mpv positive to to be doing that. Not I think, I know, obviously.
And it's really important for you to be there. I'm going to try to stay political. But I
think that a lot of the large projects, I look at those teams with a grain of salt.
And the reason I do that is bubble budgets create a lot of complacency.
And what you might have heard me say bubble budgets in the past.
But if you printed $500 million, it will be very difficult to rewire your brain when it gets tough.
It has you it's not at that point.
If you made so much money and things have been
quote unquote, easy aside from like, you know, trolls online. You need to have a colossal fail
or be at an all time like down to decide to really, really pivot. And so that that's my stance there is like, it's very easy to, to not realize how
what the real sentiment is, if, if it's relatively been pretty easy financially for a very long time,
right? I'll leave it at that. But hopefully that makes sense.
It does a few things to unpack there. A, I did know his guest. He's also, he, she, I don't know, not important, but also been in my DMs and helped along the way.
I think part of my takeaway there is as I was showing, kind of scanning the feed, it's, yes, you have it on the team.
You have people that lead the community, that communicate with the community.
community, that communicate with the community. You also have, and because of that, you also have
a lot of holders like Doomers, for instance, and Zane, who I probably, if I have like, just because
of my personal relationships with them, if I have a claim to this question, they're probably the
first I ask. I'd probably post it in the DJ and Discord, tag the two of them, and one of them is
going to get me an answer. And if not, they're going to say, I'll reach out to Guesty, reach out to Swiv. As I scrolled through just the updates, it's not just the hoodie drop,
it's behind the roar hosted by Guesty, where this episode features our CPO and our COO as they walk
through the past and future collectibles in the achievement system. Is that behind the roar? Is
that a monthly? Is that a weekly? How often do you do that?
Um, that's very nasty. It varies. Again, we're putting in better rails to figure out how often we should do those. But
like you say, it's just I think the secret sauce is again, that
that same holder I won't name. Once told me be be a shining
light in dark times, or a. And all that meant was just do a lot all the time
and be around. And it solves for a lot of trust. It solves for people kind of sitting on their
bags and just waiting for something to happen. And over time, you realize, oh my God, like a
big ecosystem is being built out. I think Pudgy's had a similar play where it's like, you know,
being built out i think pudgy's had a similar a similar play where it's like you know all the
time there's there's stuff being communicated and happening um i think we can definitely get better
at comms we're we're not the best but but we try to just be borderline obnoxious about it is there a
i i again i appreciate it and i think based on my experience with, with yourself and maybe some others on the team,
but primarily you as one of the founders, like what, I also like, maybe others are doing this
And even those that I'm quite frankly closer with in terms of like the held assets or been
a part of the community or club for longer.
You, you also, not only do you,
do you communicate on the timeline and you're, you know,
behind the roars and you're, you're, you're community meetings.
You're also grinding the DMs. You're, you're grinding that earned media.
Is there a downside in over communicating?
Yeah, maybe it stops getting interesting. But at the same time,
I would see that publicly. Like if you just if every thought you had you fired off on the
timeline. But when you're talking to others, yeah, like use myself as an example my dms get flooded if i ignore something maybe
i don't find it interesting but more often i just didn't see it but if you send me one yeah if you
send me one dm a year i may or may not see it because i yeah i come from the same it's the
same thing for me right it's like my dms are borderline overwhelming and i often tell people
like dude bump me i'm not going to be insulted be insulted. It's not, it's not like,
it's not rude. If you bump me, it helps me because by the time I might miss your DM,
there's already like 10 others before it. And, and I'm doing a million other things and trying
to multitask. So knowing that situation for me makes it a lot easier to, I think,
I don't want to use the word spam, but maybe shotgun DM the people that I that I want to get to because I don't think they're ignoring me.
I just think they might not have seen it. Right. Like, and I try to frame it that way.
So totally. But dude, it's the same shit you do with like companies and PR firms and all that kind of stuff.
It's never insulting. Sometimes you should get a bump someone. It's just the nature of the beast. Yeah, I think, can you over communicate on the timeline? Probably not.
I think you can probably create different like categories. Like sometimes I'll just tweet as an
artist. I'm proud of what we do. It's a whole different language that you use. And sometimes it's more of an official comms thing. I think
a lot of and we and we do that mistake as well, we're getting
better. And I think everybody needs to be better at this in
web three and Pudgies are great at it is you always make this
assumption that if you've made an announcement, people have seen
it, dude, it's fucking Twitter, maybe 100 people have seen it,
like, it's okay to reannounce it a couple days later right and and over communicate that
uh because it comes and it goes it's like a netflix release the movie's out on friday
everyone forgot about it on sunday unless it's a unicorn yep yeah well said um
i don't want to say case in point because it's, it will be taken out of context, but as I was
scrolling feeds, it's tough. And I don't want to throw shots. Sorry. I'm totally interrupting. I
just, I don't want to throw shots at other founders because I know how, how difficult it is
on one end, you're building a startup, you know, and, and, and you're doing it in the open and you're also doing it amongst
a crowd of, of, of diehard, sometimes fans, sometimes not.
Sometimes it's people that, that have financial motivations and that's okay.
But people that expect answers every day and sometimes you're with the team just trying
Um, and, and it's tough that said
i think if you treat them almost like team members um with a caveat yep and you communicate what
you're allowed to communicate people are very forgiving i think oftentimes they just they just
want to feel like they they can look into the aquarium right and i think that's the secret
sauce is like treat treat it as much as you can like an aquarium look into the aquarium. Right. And I think that's the secret sauce is like treat,
treat it as much as you can,
like an aquarium except for the NDAs,
except for the business shit.
like if I was other side,
I would hope they have thousands of artwork.
I would just be posting all that shit.
I would make an art art station account.
I would make a Tumblr account and start posting it and try to get real
just cater to the DGENs. It's a tool they have. It's an asset they have, right? But at the same
time, when you're trying to go at the speed of light, sometimes the things that feel secondary
to you as a team is not secondary at all. And I think that's where the problem goes is like, you know,
those teams are dealing with legal frameworks.
They're dealing with regulations.
They're dealing with fucking technology that changes every day, right?
We're on chain shit like that.
And so sometimes it's hard to juggle,
but that's where community members come in and can help alleviate that.
A hundred percent, a hundred percent agreed. Well said. Thanks again for joining us. members come in and can help alleviate that if you empower them. 100%.
Thanks again for joining us.
I really appreciate the insight and sharing.
And please, I'm not making this PVP.
It's just, it's conversation.
And I just showed the Claynose feed and we got to hear from Cab.
I wanted to go see, I have missed some stuff from the Board API Club.
I believe I still have notifications turned on.
Their pinned post was one of the announcements at ApeFest.
So October, they crushed ApeFest.
Like a dozen announcements, I feel like.
December, that was in October, December 10th.
They launched the Always On Essential Store.
Then we got last week a meme.
I missed Shippen's post on this.
I did see that Blitz was going live.
I missed that it is live.
But they reposted the other side account that the Blitz is live.
You can enter directly from the Blitz widget on other side XYZ and squad up looking for more.
And I'm sure they probably talked about this during the at the Clubhouse meeting last Thursday as well.
I just, I think, and I don't, I'm not claiming to have the answer.
But as someone who communicates crypto and specifically even NFT-related content every day, it's a challenge
if I'm missing these updates. And I'm looking for stuff every single day. I have Claude Cowork
building a docket and looking for stuff. We've ignored all of it today, by the way,
except for a tease about the Fed meeting tomorrow we won't even hit on today.
the Fed meeting tomorrow. We won't even hit on today. Um, there there's a, maybe it is what
lean into welcome. They're freaking awesome. We got law on the stage. They're doing not just
their spaces once a month they're doing in the clubhouse. They did one last week in other side,
like lean on the community a little more to share what's going on and share a little more of what's going on. Like, maybe it's not just Discord. It's not just X. I understand you can't,
there's probably a downside if every week they tweeted about, oh, we're launching a clubhouse
in Miami at some point in the 2020s. That, like, you got to come up with, I get, You can't just keep talking about the same thing over and over again.
But I guess my higher point is of all the stuff we heard from at ApeFest,
we've gotten the Essential Store launched in December, and that's three months ago.
I'm not saying it's still shouldn't be their pinned post. They want to drive traffic and
They've done a few extra drops since.
More frequent updates will go a long way,
and it doesn't have to be backfilling Dave's role.
Maybe, but it doesn't have to be that.
If it's a budget restraint
and they got to go a different direction,
I am excited to see where Law is going to take us.
I'm not making this PvP, but someone tagged me.
Zeus, Rocket and Mutants, says the final is here.
Bored Ape versus Klaino's.
Vote for your favorite NFT collection.
Thanks for everyone who participated so far.
536 votes, five hours left.
And Klaino's at 65% to Ape's 34%.
I'm not going to say that proves the point of communication and frequency of communication
i will on a sunday on a sunday but by the way let me caveat by saying obviously that those kinds of
votes are are you've been doing a lot of them and it's very cool for us but it's it's engagement
farming yeah still cool to see the numbers i get it's engagement farming but i tell you what like
i bet any amount of e that if you ran this poll in 2022 oh yeah it's a for me, but I tell you what, like I bet any amount of ETH that if you ran this
poll in 2022, it's a landslide the other direction. And why I'm sharing, why we're going so deep and
extended passionate talk about this topic today is I care. And I don't think it's a, oh, you got
to scrap everything you're doing. It's just bring back a little bit of the stuff that others are
doing. That's clearly working. It's clearly working from Klaino's to Quirky's to Good Vibes Club. Like it's clearly working. And the wild part is a lot
of what y'all are doing, it's not even original ideas. You've taken stuff from Yuga or Pudgies
and putting your own twist on it. You took stuff that worked. You had second mover advantage,
third mover advantage. You took the stuff that worked and built community and built momentum and built an army of brand ambassadors, and you're doubling down on it.
And yet I feel apes, pudgies, you could fill in the blank with a Zuki, doodles, a lot of the
quote unquote OGs. I don't know if it's complacency. I don't know if it's they feel what an idiot said
earlier that, oh, there's no announcement that's going to make people money. And for a while,
announcements reviewed at that. If you didn't announce something that was going to send the
floor price up, people are going to fudge it. If you didn't announce something that was going to
lead to a dividend, dividend-esque type airdrop. People are going to fudge you.
That's not this space anymore.
Nothing that Claynos is talking about is leading to, oh, this magical.
It's actually, it's the opposite.
So if you want to buy this hoodie, you can buy this thing.
Nothing that, I haven't seen Good Vibes Club talk about magical internet money.
Yeah, they do a raffle, I guess.
But I don't think that's what's driving their floor price
or their momentum in their community.
I don't think Quirkies has done a thing
like they gave away free art.
But it's not like if you held a Quirky,
you got, now the floor prices went up.
I think it's partially because of protected royalties,
but that's the conversation we'll save for tomorrow.
and then we'll get Law in here.
Cab, thoughts? Yeah, yeah. Without trying to sound too repetitive or annoying. we'll save for tomorrow um uh let's go back to cab and then we get law in here cab thoughts yeah
yeah without trying to sound too repetitive or annoying um we understood over i mean at this
point basically two years ago let's say like a year and a half two years ago that whatever
announcement we do um won't won't really move the needle um long term maybe it could pump
won't really move the needle long term.
Maybe it could pump stuff for like a week.
But we realized there's no point engineering a narrative
with the intent of just pumping the collectibles.
It's much better to just foster a communicative ecosystem.
That's basically what Zane does with the YouTubers he's working with.
They communicate every day.
And three years later, you're a super fan.
And then years later, they've got a brand
but whose pieces are also worth money.
And I guess what I'm trying to say is
collectibles. I think we want to pioneer where we think digital collectibles are headed. But in
order to bring value to those pieces compared to the crazy prices that they had years ago,
it's just about building in the open. I know it sounds so pedestrian. I know it sounds so cheesy.
But if you're just there doing stuff every day, you know, people are gonna have that
moment of like, wow, like I've learned something every day and then oh shit, a year later,
Let's go like we made it.
Um, and by the way, even if we announced Netflix or prime or whatever, like, I don't know that it would move the needle. You know what it would do, though, is hold the fort, is foster more trust.
Okay, this brand is on its way to having value for the collectibles and the right funnels, and they're not going anywhere and all that kind of stuff.
and they're not going anywhere and all that kind of stuff.
Granted, I'd probably also caveat by saying
I think Bored Apes as a collectible
have substantial prominent value.
I think when and if a bull comes,
it's huge for Bored Apes.
But I also think they're different from us.
You guys have been mentioning a country club.
I very much think that that's where their
superpower is, is, is being a sort of decentralized country club. I think in a bowl, it's, it's way
easier for that to, to, to be for them to be like the apex club again. But, you know, it doesn't mean,
doesn't mean don't, don't communicate even the small things.
I guess what I'm trying to say is doubling down on what you said,
which is not every announcement needs to be an announcement that's engineered to pump something.
It just needs to keep the wheels going.
It just needs to get people to know shit's happening.
Because the opposite is, or the counter of that,
not communicating frequently
They shared this, they communicated this,
but yet if the people, it's like if the
tree falls in the forest, no one
hears it, does it matter? Did anyone hear?
Yeah. It's like the people
that are like, by the way, there's not board days, by the way.
But it's like, you know, those projects.
We never left and they haven't posted anything in like two years.
But I think what we're really saying is both situations are bad.
You don't want to just do announcements that are engineered to pump because then there's no substance.
then then there's no substance and in in lieu of that if you realize that announcements won't move
the needle don't don't avoid announcements altogether yes right like don't yeah it's not
worth it of course it's worth it what what the do you think youtube influencers do they're they're
there every day building a brand like in real time in front of you did the fastest growing brands in
the world are over communicating today i think that's i think that. Dude, the fastest growing brands in the world are over communicating today.
I think that's a fact. The fastest growing, especially the fastest growing digital brands,
the fastest growing social brands, community brands, not only communicating frequently,
often it's daily. And even in some cases, it's like every waking second of their day,
pretty close from some of these live streamers.
Like, that's the world we're in.
And I'm not saying that Luca should have a video camera on him 24-7
or that we should be live streaming from Garga's bedroom.
Like, that's not what I'm saying.
But knowing that's where the algorithms are going, that's where social media is going,
is this always on, this frequent communication,
this world where we have access to info in real time 24-7,
I think there is a real risk of going to the opposite end of the spectrum
and not being as visible.
To your point, you shouldn't be announcing anything with the intent to pump or all this
announcement better land.
But the longer you go between announcements or updates or behind the scenes, the longer
you go, I think that pressure compounds that people are going to, okay, now it better be
a big one versus if you're just communicating stuff, you're just building
Like that used to be a thing.
And for some reason, we've like went away from the whole building in public for a lot
of these OG crypto brands.
It's like, I'll pick on Doodles a little bit since we're, I don't want to make it a PVP
Like Doodles has their AI thing coming, I think coming soon.
And maybe there, there's a tech edge or something they don't want to leak out or they don't want to share.
I don't really know what it is other than like you can create, you know, take an image and Doodle-fy it.
But there's been a lot of, like my point is, it's applying so much pressure for that
to hit, because there hasn't been some of this behind the scenes updates along the way.
I'm not saying just behind the scenes stuff.
That's just an easy example.
Well, I think you hit the nail on the head.
By the way, I love those projects.
They're a part of my history.
I'm in the space is changed my life.
in the space has changed my life. It's been a wild adventure. But I think the issue is if you don't
It's been a wild adventure.
communicate, when you do, you're creating a tentpole event for that, for that announcement or
whatever, which sets a dangerous precedent, which sets expectations, which sets everybody up for
disappointment, because they don't understand
the framing of that announcement where it's like, no, this wasn't an announcement that
was going to change the world.
It's just a part of what we're doing.
And so I would caution again, we're not perfect.
We've done that mistake a million times and we're trying to get better.
And I think part of the solution is just to just to communicate
shit all the time but yeah it's very tough for projects if they're silent and then they're not
because then the times that they're not feel like it's meant to be a big thing when it may not be
and then you're setting like just crazy expectations i this coming in real time so
maybe it doesn't hit uh in law you're on deck here i'd like to get you in here it you just it like maybe remove the word announcement from your vernacular like don't it doesn't hit. Law, you're on deck here. I'd like to get you in here. You just, like, maybe remove the word announcement from your vernacular.
Like, it doesn't have to be, nothing has to be an announcement.
Communicate instead of announce things.
Like, stop announcing things.
Like, that's putting pressure on the announcement.
Instead, just communicate what's going on.
Like, part of this rabid ambassador base, this fan base that are actual promoters for your business,
a lot of them because they feel like they're a part of something.
But if months go by and they don't hear any form of communication,
it's like, what am I part of?
Well, you got to go jump in.
I can't believe how much I'm pitting out today.
Spicycap is like real and 3D.
You got to tune into YouTube to catch the HD pit out.
Before I go to law, his partner in crime, Dort, adds,
a board of yacht club is elevated on two vectors,
brand performance and membership experience.
Most NFT projects have one.
A brand can disappoint culturally.
A club can disappoint its members.
But I've got club risks both.
It's a very difficult spot.
So I give them grace and patience to do my part
Fixed by a few more updates.
The club membership access is truly something that exists
And it's a real bear to wrestle with
when you're understandably pushing so hard
for something like other side. And I agree. Like I get it. I understand other side is a massive
swing. It takes a lot of resources. It's hard to do both. It's very easy for me to Monday morning
quarterback, morning PR club, or any of these other crypto native brands, NFT native brands.
crypto-native brands, NFT-native brands.
At the same time, I want to provide some constructive criticism,
some feedback, some things that I think could help
at a very low, if not no cost.
And I think it brings back some of that magic that seemingly,
when you see like polls like we just looked at,
and with all due respect to Phil, Board Mike,
it's just a Twitter poll.
It doesn't mean anything, but it does.
It's a data point, and it shows which communities are activated
and which ones aren't as activated as they used to be.
Now, Bored Up Yucca made the final, so we'll give them credit for that.
And I'm not knocking Klainos.
Like, they rightfully deserve to be in that conversation now.
I had this talk with one of a community team where I was like
ah like I don't like these kinds of polls and they make me feel weird I don't like to be pvp
and also it's like well chances are like no one on on board apes actually saw zeus's post anyways
but then I also kind of on the flip side counter argued where maybe that's the point is if nobody saw it that's also a problem um and you know especially on a sunday or whatever so i don't know i i definitely don't
like to to be pvp but um maybe maybe there's some sort of a signal for um communities being activated
um more aggressively by by founders or other community teams.
And back to where this whole conversation started,
if you just joined in, Dave Evans,
who's led the club portion of Board API Club for a while,
he posted his departure message on LinkedIn.
I just wasn't able to find the account this morning.
But that's what kicked this off and questioned, is that position being backfilled or not? And that's how we got here today. But Law, GM, sir, if you're not familiar
with Law, you're missing out, especially if you're in the Board of Yacht Club. Law and Dort and
Marav and many others are responsible for hosting those welcome ape spaces and not just the spaces,
but the warm welcoming that almost anyone who at least legitimately picks up an ape or mutant and
joins the club gets a warm social
welcoming thanks to these guys and gals. Law, GM, thoughts on this morning's conversation?
Then we'll get Mike in here. Yo, Cap. I feel like this conversation comes up here like every so
often, and I've never really jumped up here to share how I feel about it, so I figured I would.
Appreciate it. You know, it does feel like there's a bit of a missing piece of the puzzle when it
comes to communication outside of work happening,
with the other side of an ape co.
Dort and I lead welcome apes and spend a lot of time welcoming new club
And through that initiative,
we've been fortunate enough to work,
kind of closely with some of the people still at Yuga and ApeCoin.
And when we were putting together the,
the website and the package experience this year,
I asked several of the team members,
how can we help support them on their objectives?
And pretty much every single person that I spoke to said that they're locked in on the other side this year
and getting people on the other side and creating experiences for people to participate in the other side.
And right now, I think most of the official club conversations are happening on the other side.
official club conversations are happening in the other side.
Thursdays meet at the clubhouse with Baron Ella is where I think what's Gargo
was just there a couple of weeks ago with,
with Figgy and there was a community member that,
that actually asked a question about the,
the animated series and Gargo gave an answer about that. But, you know,
a lot of the questions and, and conversations are definitely other side um you know focus but recently we kind of heard figgy
say something along the lines of like they they want this to be the like a place for ai innovation
where it's happening and and honestly it feels like this wave of ai technology that's happening right now
in our industry has a lot of their attention right now almost like as maybe as this is some
kind of opportunity to lead in something new and exciting again similar to the early energy around
nfts and um one thing i think the club is doing well or trying to do well is empowering creators and
um that are supporting people that are willing to step up and build and i like to think that
i'm an example of that so um that said i think a lot of us still kind of miss those old school
nft vibes and the culture the the creativity and the creativity, and just getting in a discord with a bunch of new people
and building something new and exciting.
And I know many people wish there was a bit more happening
outside of OtherSide, and that's something we're trying
to contribute through our efforts at Welcome Apes.
But as far as updates in the broader space,
Web3 is kind of quiet right now at a consumer
I guess the last thing I wanted to say is at the end
it's the people that made me want
to join the Board API Club, and
I think it's the community that makes it special,
and that's what brought me to BAYC in the first
place, and that's what keeps me here.
Appreciate you sharing and truly appreciate all that you do.
Appreciate all that you, Dorit Marov, everyone over there, welcome Avis is doing.
And I get the focus being other side.
My question for you before I go to Mike, is it possible to do both? Do you think there's a,
if bandwidth or cost wasn't an issue,
because I guess as we talk through this,
we have to drive 100% of our focus and tension and people into other side,
and that's the only place we're going to communicate.
Because if there's another option,
in addition to the bubbles,
or there's a Discord once a month,
I get that those people then are less likely to go into other side
because they'll just listen to where they're comfortable.
And from your perspective, I'm not going to hold you on this,
and I apologize for even putting you on the spot.
That's not why you came up here.
But is there a downside in attempting to do both?
As you mentioned, like getting some of that original magic back
on the not-just-other-side portion of the Board of Piot Club?
Well, you know, like Cappy said,
if there was no issue with bandwidth and capital,
and to be honest with you, I think that that might be an issue um i mean not in
like a short time zone frame but like um you know maybe in a shorter time zone than we'd like to
think but but no dude i mean i like the ideas that you guys are throwing out here doing a quarterly
communication round uh repeating yourself isn't always the worst thing, but just giving us a quick
all the shit that they said they were
going to do this year at ApeFest.
Give us an update. Like, hey, we had a meeting with
with the animated series, and that's really fun.
We're having a good time with that.
What's going on with the clubhouse?
I'd love to hear these types of
things as well. Yep, same.
And if I've missed those updates, it's on me.
I just, I think it puts a lot more pressure on,
they become announcements if they wait until the next Ape Fest
to talk about those things,
as opposed to just communicating what's going on.
I think people will generally understand.
Most people at this point, they're in the club.
They're not there for some quick flip
or short-term financial pump
or I'm going to get some magical internet money dropped.
They're there because they love the people.
They want to be a part of it.
And I think being a part of it is part of that.
Just understanding what's going on or where,
like, unless it's all bad news,
let's say we're scrapping the clubhouse where,
get ahead of it versus waiting till next eight fest.
And then it becomes a much bigger deal versus communicating some of the
challenges along the way.
I'm making too many assumptions here,
I saw you jump up on stage.
I want to get to you before, before we wrap today, cab, go ahead.
Yo. Yeah. It's maybe a little bit of a, of advice, but I would, I would caution unless
you're doing a very, very kind of like cabalist club, right. Where it's like everyone knows everyone and it's like 50 people and there's no issues.
I would urge against a gated communication loop or one with a lot of friction, like having to go inside an app.
The reason I would urge against that is it's not going to foster growth for that platform.
It's probably going to do the opposite.
And it's the same thing that's happening, like even in entertainment, right?
It's like distributions democratize.
You can get content on X, on Instagram, on TikTok, on YouTube, on Roblox, on Fortnite,
on Netflix, on Prime, on HBO.
You see where I'm going with this, right?
And if you are not everywhere, and you're not meeting
people everywhere, you don't exist in the window shopping experience for for consumers. And the
same is true for x. And the same is true. So, so yes, you might, you might get word of mouth,
but your brand needs to have so much fucking pull in order to funnel them into one platform,
have so much fucking pull in order to funnel them into one platform that in the early state,
and by the way, every company that's building on Web3 right now is in its early stage.
Like if we're not, if we haven't been building for 10 years, we're early.
I would urge against gating something that's meant for mass communication.
You could do little fan clubs, you could do private discord calls, whatever. I think what, what Luca does with the huddle is great,
because that's intended as like a secret kind of like, need to know basis alpha thing. But aside
from that, that's all it is, right. And so all I'm saying is distribution is so spread out that and people are getting their information from all over the fucking place that give yourself the best chance at having that information flywheel into the right hands is the same reason we used to do our town halls like just on Discord.
We stopped doing that and now we do both.
We do like live X because it just has a
higher chance of reaching more eyeballs um and being more shareable maybe over time we'll change
that but not until we have like a crazy amount of pull and i don't know what that would be but
basically the point i'm trying to say is don't add friction um until you have like so much, so much provenance and so much,
to transcend past echo chambers.
I'm of a similar opinion.
And while I understand the push for other side and for bubbles for that,
the clubhouse being in bubbles and my bad for missing the recordings.
I just, I think it's, again, I think it's an and I think both are.
And I think you're going to reach more people by going outside of the bubble, pun intended,
and driving them into the bubble versus primarily being in the bubble and hoping people come
I also want to say I'm not throwing shots and I understand the thought process.
It's going to bring people into the platform but i think where my mind is at knowing how difficult that is to do
is it's going to bring a few people in for now um rather than you know start farming your audience
and then bring a ton of people in right yep that's incredible take
That was an incredible take, Kev.
Mike, before I hand you the mic, man, I'm on fire today, huh?
I have a weird, strange craving for macaroons.
This may or may not be related to Nick's Kitchen, that cooking channel I flashed a little bit ago.
dessert that is underrated.
And yeah, today I'm going to be hunting some
Cuban colada and some macaroons.
I'm doing my best to buy it all together.
Burr Bubbly is coming Wednesday,
March 18th. This is not a
I just am a big fan of the brand
and REC communicates frequently.
He's been under the weather
Here's everything you need to know.
Burb Bubbly will mint on ETH,
a 24-pack of Burb Bubbly,
exclusive REC and Vibes TCG card,
25,000 REC rank points, and a certain unnamed number of
Burb. You must redeem the NFT to claim. Link will come out soon. The price of each Burb bubbly NFT
is 0.042 ETH. Each wallet can be up to 50 Burb bubbly NFTs. the redemption window will be open until noon on March 25th.
NFTs cannot be traded until after the redeem window closes.
You have to ensure you have ETH on mainnet to mint.
I didn't see if there is a...
Did they mention a supply?
On the expensive side, 0.042, without doing the math,
would be about $100, $96 for a 24-pack. So call it $4 a can. It's high for sparkling water, but you're also getting this exclusive vibes TCG card. You get the drink points, you get burb. Um, I don't know my,
when I first read it, I'm on the fence. I'll probably end up minting at least one, if not a
couple. Uh, I haven't minted all or haven't bought all, but I, the one thing I would make sure you
are registered on the rec rewards. Make sure you get your drink points. I've missed out on the last couple I've bought.
I screwed up something of mine and did not get my drink points or the subsequent REC that went with it.
Mike, I've got one other announcement and then a shout-out.
Although, Hans, are you still in the abstract chat?
If not, I will wait until tomorrow.
But Hans, if you're still in the abstract chat,
again, thank you for the Pingu tip earlier. That's not what I wanted to shout out. But if you're
still over there, let me know. I want to make sure you're still tuned in. If not, no big deal.
I just, I want to, you're part of the shout out and I want to make sure you are here. I know we've
ran a little long today. And then the last thing, we'll maybe dive in this tomorrow because it was shocking when I saw it.
And then Mike's going to take us home.
Prediction market revenue last 30 days.
Calci at $110 million, followed by Polymarket at $4.2, followed by Crypto.com at $4.1.
Then Opinion Lab, then Trilimitless, and then IBKR.
Lapping everyone is Calci.
I will admit I use Calci in their app Kalshi. I will admit I use Kalshi in their app
It's funny because I'll go to Polymark
Like, what's the odds of this rate cut happening
I use Kalshi almost exclusively now
And I'm guessing that's why
they've garnered such lead in the last 30 days. It's just US friendly. It's easy. It's the app. And I'm guessing that's why they've garnered such
the lead in the last 30 days. It's just US friendly. It's app. Whereas Polymarket, I think
if I want to actually open them, if I want to make a prediction, I think I still have to
take a flight somewhere. I know they were coming to the US, but I don't think that's turned on yet.
I'll check here after I hand it to Mike. But Mike, GM, appreciate your patience.
No need to comment on what I just shared.
I just want to make sure I got in those updates
and then I will wrap after you get in here.
But thanks for jumping up.
This is how you do a PFP changes.
Rock a sexy jacket like that.
I was trying to get in earlier,
but it's West Coast for me, so getting to work,
driving to work, stuff like that. So anyway, just to give a little background before I say
what I'm going to say, I have a master's degree in communication psychology, and I've probably
been dealing with customers longer than a lot of people in the space have been alive.
alive. I'm the oldest guy you guys have met at Ape Fest, by the way, just to give you a context.
I'm the oldest guy you guys have met at ApeFest, by the way, just to give you a context.
Probably. But what I want to say about communication is communication is about how it's received,
not about the intent. And I think what happens a lot of times, people that aren't good at it or
haven't done it, you know, most of their lives. What happens is they have a great intention and they say something,
but they forget about how it's going to be received or how it is received.
And then when somebody asks another question, they get, well, if you're not locked in, you don't know.
And that just turns people off.
And that just turns people off.
It has to be, you have a question, great, let me do my best to answer it.
At a certain point, though, it is on us as consumers, right?
But you have to make sure that you exhaust the ability for them to understand first.
And I think that's where a lot of this comes in, right?
I never hosted 1,117 spaces,
but I did host over 1,000 hours of spaces.
And with communities that I was involved in
and I was hosting spaces for,
as long as I understood what they were doing,
I could communicate that to everybody who asked questions.
me with the last project was only the founder and the developer knew the answers and they would
never tell me. So I quit doing it because I couldn't tell people what was going on.
I couldn't answer their questions. So it just made no sense to be frustrated every week,
doing that. And so people that are passionate can get defensive
when they're asked questions.
And I think you just need to take a breath,
step back and go, okay, why are they asking me this question?
Now, let me try to explain it to you.
You know, it was last week, I think, you know,
somebody mentioned Other Side as a game.
And my understanding is Other side is not a game.
It's a platform where you can build experiences and games and stuff like that, too.
Right. So that's a miscommunication that's out there.
People are considering other side a game and it's not a game.
I have another D and I don't know what to do with it right now.
I'm not an engineer. I'm not a builder. I'm a communications guy. And this is the kind of thing that makes Steve so valuable to the space is that he is that guy. Plus, he has the marketing side of it, which I don't have. And he can absolutely add value to anything.
value to anything. So I just wanted to make that point that communication is about how
it's received and not the intent behind it. And I think that's where people go wrong when
they're trying to communicate something. Well said, I'm probably going to parrot that
and actually just I might just rip it off directly. I may just quote your quote that
communication is not about is about how it's received, not about the intent. Well,
how did you exactly say, I'm going to write it down so I get it correct.
That's exactly right. Yeah. Communication is about how it's received, not about your intent
when you communicate. So yeah, no, you got it. You understand it. And I just wanted to throw
that out there because communication gets thrown out a lot as a word and I think people don't quite
understand necessarily what it is. The other thing that I learned when I was 14, when people say the
consumer is always right, the customer is always right, well, yes, until they're wrong. And when
they're wrong, you have to tell them they're wrong. But you also have to educate them at the same time.
You can't just tell them, well, that's bad.
You know, you don't know what you're talking about.
And if you're not here, you don't know.
No, sorry, that's not how it works.
You need to educate your customer to be your customer.
If Steve Jobs just listened to his customers, we wouldn't have the iPhone today.
We wouldn't have the App Store.
We wouldn't have the smartphone explosion that we got.
The customers, you got to hear your customers, especially if it's repetitive.
And I think that's what, as hearing you talk, helped me unpack in the, not just the, you know, communication is about how it's received, not just about your intent.
why Steve is so valuable to OpenSea
is he has that professional background
and understands this space,
go hire a director of comms and all this stuff is
fixed tomorrow. It's much easier said than done. I just, your quote and this idea of
in the announcements, no more announcements, just communicate. The announcement is just,
it puts too much pressure on the team, puts too much pressure on the community. Everyone,
there has to be an outcome. No, there doesn't have to be an outcome of everything that's
communicated. I don't think, maybe I'm the weirdo that's in the wrong and I'm not looking for a floor
pump or free magical internet dollars to drop out of the sky. I'm not looking for any of that. I
expect zero financial rewards from holding an ape this year. But I would love some more communication.
I expect zero announcements that are going to pump the floor price. It's cool if it goes up.
I don't care if it does goes down. That's just me. I know someone who just bought and they're like,
they want it to like, it's okay to want it to go up. That's perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with
that. I just personally have no communication or I have no expectation of financial gain
from holding an NFT in 2026.
Where I do have expectation of financial gain
is the networking and what might come of it.
And I don't expect that in 2026 either for everything.
Like some of this, it's years in the making.
So like I said, when I mended this thing,
and it wasn't right when I mended it,
when they went over 10,000 US dollars in a floor price the first time, I made the decision, I'm going to hold at least
one of these for 10 years instead of trying to time the top of the market. And that's where I'm
at. At minimum, probably at this point, I'm probably going to the grave with this one, but
it's at least a 10-year journey before I even think about selling it.
Might I change my PFP at some point? Maybe. I'm not thinking about doing that. But communicating instead of announcing everything,
I think is a, while it may seem like semantics, I think it matters. I think it's a big, could be a
big mindset shift for not just Board API Club and Yuga. I think for a lot of these, especially the
OG NFT communities that were
around during the bowl that were around during the mania they were around when every announcement
sent the floor price flying or it meant you're dead like that's just not like not every
communication not every update your your success or failure doesn't hang on it. Unless you wait and only announce something once a year
or everyone that, you know,
the thousands of people only tune into once a year
then it does apply a lot of that pressure.
Law, go ahead and get back in here
and then we will get everyone out of here.
You mentioned Steve and I miss the guy.
But Steve, if you're listening right now,
please open Sierra Drop, please.
Literally, I took everything I had not to spit out the water.
If you were watching the stream, you saw.
That was a genuine reaction.
The water was going to fly out on my computer.
I truly thought Law was going to go.
I don't know where he was going.
I knew he was in the war room.
I thought he was going to maybe try to tie this back to jeremiah smith and maybe legend bay
um i mean it makes sense everyone else probably thinking the same thing when the open c airdrop
i just my brain was not there and it's just dude it gets brought up every day in my friend group
it's just like this running gag that we just we're just like praying, begging for this OpenSea airdrop,
Listen, people, us OG NFT holders,
we have zero financial expectations.
We have zero intentions or thoughts
of any sort of magical internet money,
except for OpenSea, for God's sake.
I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
But really, though, we all,
that's the only thing we have left, Steve.
But please pump our bags.
Please be the announcement that saves us all.
Send all the flores flying.
Also, Mike, before you get out of here, yes, macaroons are strongly underrated.
But Zane also says, older than captain?
Zane, I guess I'm going to go get macaroons, some colada, and I'm due for some more Botox,
apparently. I kid. Mike is a strapping young man that is just more experienced than most
of the rest of this year, especially when it comes to communications and understanding
that it's not just about, it's not about how it's received, or it's more about how it's received.
See, damn it. That's why I'm not a communications expert. Communication is about how it's received, or it's more about how it's received. See, damn it. This is why I'm not a communications expert. Communication is about how it's received, not just about your intent.
Thanks for sharing that, Banger Mike. I do appreciate it. With that, thank you all so
much for being here. Really enjoyed the conversation today. We'll be back tomorrow,
8 a.m. Eastern, with some actual other wider-reaching crypto news and content.
Maybe we still, even without talking about it,
maybe we got the coffee with Captain Pump.
The pump continued this morning.
Yeah, things kept moving in the right direction.
We do have the Fed meeting tomorrow.
but it should be interesting nevertheless.
Stablecoins continue to pump.
More to talk. I do have an important shout out. I want to give a community member some love,
but I'm going to hold that for tomorrow as well. And if you just happen to find us today, welcome.
We do run this back every Monday through Friday at 8 a.m. Eastern time. It's not always a Board API Club conversation,
but every once in a while,
we get passionate and I pit out.
How about that for a thumbnail, Zane?
What does the thumbnail team say about,
What does the thumbnail team say
about pitting out during live streams?
By the way, went to the gym in the
old Samsung mobile shirt. You can't even read it. It's so old. Maybe that'll be 100 bonus points.
Who can guess the year that I acquired the Samsung mobile shirt that you can barely even
read the Samsung mobile? It's that ancient at this point. Botox and a new wardrobe. That's
next week on Coffee with Captain. Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful, wonderful day,
