Thank you. . Thank you. welcome welcome welcome hope everybody is uh doing well benjamin simon how are you guys
how's it going man how are you pretty good how are you all right How's it going, man? How are you? Pretty good. How are you?
All right, dude. It's been a little while.
It's been a little bit, but market, I think it's a little bit better, even though it's been a few days, tough days.
Well, it's been a little while since we also hosted Azzebek and updated the community.
also hosted as Zabek and updated the community.
And in the background, we've been working on some really,
really exciting conversations that we can start bringing to the community.
And this is just the first of many really exciting ones.
But we're here to talk today with Mr. Telecom from World Mobile.
Let's just do a quick couple of mic checks.
But I know we're on a short time one today.
uh let's get moving thank you jj no problem mic check simon you there yes i am and we are ready
to get get things going happy how are you man how have you been been good um nice to be back
after a short hiatus from our spaces series um but wow what a guest do we have today yeah for sure
mr telecom you're on mute
mark now but uh let's have a mic check see if you're there one two one two testing hello
how are you you well thank you very much i'm great excellent news okay well look i'm gonna
kick us straight off because there's so much to cover and we've got kind of 30, 35 minutes.
So let's jump straight into it. Look, today we are here to talk about ZebekNet and World Mobile.
And I'm really, really excited about bringing these two projects and companies together to have a great conversation.
I work with Zebek from a content creation perspective.
Obviously, we've got Simon up with us from Zebek right now,
and we've got Mickey, Mr. Telecom from World Mobile.
So, Simon, before we get going, I guess I just want to tell everyone,
Thanks for your patience the last couple of weeks.
We're looking forward to having some great conversations moving forward.
If you could all do us a big, big favour, hit the speech bubble in the bottom right-hand corner.
Make sure you give this space a like and a repost and let more people know about the conversation that we're having today.
It's always great to get more people in here, have them learn a little bit more about what we're doing over at Zebek,
here, have them learn a little bit more about what we're doing over at Zebek, and of course,
and of course with our guest at World Mobile too.
with our guest, World Mobile, too. Simon, 30 seconds set up here, because this was an introduction
you made to me, and I'm super excited, like done a load of research today, really, really excited
to have this conversation. Tell us a little bit about why you wanted to have this conversation
and frame it this way today. Absolutely. Well, what a great way to restart our Spaces series,
as we're joined by what I would call the foremost innovator in decentralized communication, accompanied by the name of World Mobile, which Zbeck is incredibly proud to have partnered with recently as we roll out as both innovative disruptors of large stagnant industries.
We're both effectively solving the same problem, but from different angles.
By bridging global mobile connectivity on-chain, World Mobile is connecting the unconnected,
while at ZBEC, we're empowering the unbanked through our own suite of financial tools.
Together, we're building something that removes traditional borders for good. And we're really excited to get into some of the details of these two great
programs that we're bringing to market. Love it. Thank you for that. I'm going to jump straight
in with Mr. T. Mr. T, you good with me calling you that, by the way, sir? I certainly am. He was
my dude. Maybe introduce yourself very quickly and World mobile and the mission you're on for those uh who
are here today and don't know and and haven't been familiarized with yourselves yet yeah with
pleasure i'm mickey watkins also known as mr telecom uh i represent as the ceo and the founder
of world mobile uh world mobile is a new economic model to incentivize people to put up infrastructure,
either where there's a lack of infrastructure, there's underserved, which means that there's
holes in connectivity, or indeed overbuilding existing infrastructure. The reason for this is
because half the world cannot speak to the other half of the world. Not only is this a multi-trillion
dollar opportunity, it's also an opportunity to connect the other half of the world. Not only is this a multi-trillion dollar opportunity,
it's also an opportunity to connect the other half of the world to the world that we live in,
that we can have this call that most businesses done these days. So internet is a human right.
Second of all, legacy infrastructure, legacy business models, they just don't work. And that's why half the world's unconnected but worse worse is that the people that are connected we pay our bills but we still have terrible connectivity but even worse when we
pay our bills actually we're not the the gatekeeper of our data the mobile network operator is and it's
crazy to me that we pay the bill yet they keep our data so what mobile stands for a new type of mobile
network and mobile network is private secure inclusive and most importantly powered by the people and run by the
people absolutely love that great introduction thank you for that i also know that there's uh
there's like a whole load of air nodes that help you power that thing and my understanding and i
just wanted to give you a moment just to touch on this,
is that there is a sale happening tomorrow.
I want to give you the opportunity to let people know that
before we jump into a bit more
that's going on behind the scenes.
Yes, we have Operation Airnode happening tomorrow.
It happens once every couple of weeks
or sometimes more frequent
and sometimes maybe slightly less frequent.
There we are allowing the community to come in and own nodes in the network.
So far, there's around 60,000 nodes that have been deployed.
That's more than there are Starbucks and McDonald's combined worldwide
And this is serving approximately 2.4 million users daily.
That's amazing um i'm going to stick with you for one
more question before we kind of circle back here to simon just to understand a little bit more
about the kind of the partnership here that is is starting to form and and i guess if you had to
really concisely say what makes world mobile different from a traditional mobile network like how would you
elevate a pitch that to somebody uh super quickly yeah okay one it's a network with better coverage
so not only do we have the world mobile network we also have partners in at&t and t-mobile
uh two it's a private network not in the sense that other people can't join but for the first
time ever the device that's in your pocket that you pick up 208 times a day on average is now a device where you can understand where your
data has gone and third of all it's a it's a network that pays you back it's a network for
the first time where you can actually stake and you can actually do some very cool things very
native to web3 but very seamless for a non-Web3 person in order to be
able to come and actually own rewards by staking to their phone plan. Love that. Super succinct.
Thank you for doing that. I think it's really, really exciting. Simon, I'm going to jump over
to you because I know we've been talking a bit about the Zebek partnership and Zebek Net,
as I've seen it muted. And I just wondered if you could kind of define what that is
and why it matters. Absolutely. So we announced Zebek Net last week. And the way I think of it is
it's really the next logical step for the financial architecture that we're building.
At Zebek, we like to think five to 10 years ahead of the rest of the market. We're on a mission to
build the next gen of infrastructure that's needed to power the future of finance.
As we started with our revolutionary payroll streaming technology all these years ago,
and we've now built an ecosystem of products around it,
such as the Zbeck card suite and the upcoming Zbeck super app.
To ensure that our users have real-time global access to our network
and low latency transactions at all times, we really had no choice but to launch our own mobile network.
And that is ZbeckNet, of course, in partnership and powered by World Mobile.
Now, unlike traditional mobile networks, ZbeckNet is purpose-built for financial connectivity and works alongside your existing mobile carrier,
ensuring uninterrupted access to all your Zbeck wallets, your payment cards, your payroll streams,
regardless of where you are in the world. Now, ZbeckNet is coming to market sometime in fall
2025. We are actively working on development right now with World Mobile, and it's going to
be fully integrated with the Zbeck Super app as well as all of our streaming tools.
Now do you know who's even more excited for ZbeckNet than us here at Zbeck?
It's our over 200 enterprise clients who can now pay remote workers in over 70 countries
without having to connect to local banking infrastructure.
The cost savings for these employers are enormous,
especially when you compare to traditional remittance services
or international employer of record solution.
So this truly is a game changer for both the Zabek community
as well as the enterprise clients.
For those who haven't seen it,
I've just posted a post that came out a few days back from World Mobile just at the top there that
gives a little bit more information about this. And I recommend people go check that out, maybe
bookmark it, give it a repost, let more people know about it. Because as Simon says, it is a
really, really exciting development. So then Mr. T mr t tell me why did this partnership make
sense for world mobile i think you heard it you know zebek is one of the very rare and very few
companies in the space that is actually real world use that people can actually use a product that's
in web3 so for us this was a very interesting to start with and then we saw that we we shared very much the
same morals uh and a similar mission you know world mobile has always been say has always said
in order to bank the unbanked you first need to connect the unconnected so connecting the
unconnected and banking the unbanked is something that seems to be very close to us uh simon is a
great guy as well um great great ceo great person to be leading Zbeck from the very small interactions we've had so far
So I'm very much looking forward to seeing
And of course, another opportunity
to show the whole crypto space,
actually, this is what you really should be backing,
the things that you can use every single day,
the things that have demands,
the things that have necessity.
You should have some of this in your portfolio because actually mass adoption is probably going to come from something like this absolutely love that that saying as well to bank
the unbanked you have to connect the unconnected that's such it's so important and I I guess
probably a good opportunity then to to ask you to maybe tell us about the kind of impact that you're seeing in places around the world, in places like the entire continent of Africa or countries like Pakistan.
I know earlier when we were speaking, you said that there are a number of other examples that you can share of where it's really having a massive impact.
Yeah, we try to document as much as we possibly can so if you head over to
our youtube and you look at some of the early videos um you have a dj there lady and her having
connectivity was one of the most impactful stories that that i'd ever heard about and also there's a
kite um a wind kite that they put on water a guy that kind of from the internet he just learned
everything that he that he had learned how to speak English, French, German. That's a very beautiful video. But we see schools connected
regularly. We see people in farms that didn't have connection before. We see people in whole
towns that didn't have affordable, reliable connectivity. And so far, we've changed the
lives. When I say we, our sharing economy, the world mobile sharing economy has changed the lives of over 2.5 million people economy. And this is kind of the overall big moral part of the mission
is that half the world should be able to speak and join in on this space right now,
But World Mobile is for everybody.
As highlighted recently in our move to the United States of America,
primarily Reno, but from a more celebrity level,
we got reached out by a person called Tristan Thompson.
He's a basketball player in the United States of America,
Clover in our community is listening in here,
picked up on a tweet where he was asking about real world use of crypto.
Within three or four weeks, he was on the phone to me telling me,
hey, I've got a huge problem in my house.
Within 24 hours, we'd managed to fix his house
and his neighbor's houses in calabasas
hidden hills hidden hills is a very affluent area they have everything that they could possibly want
but they don't have connectivity and at&t t-mobile verizon nobody was fixing it for them so some guys
in a truck and a community were able to get together and solve a problem that was not solved before.
So we're seeing it impact everybody. We're not just seeing it impact the emerging markets,
all the rich, all the poor. We're seeing it actually take everybody by storm.
And internet is so critical. It's one of the most important aspects of what we have today.
So the impact is huge. It's a pleasure pleasure it's an honor to be working at world
mobile with the sharing community and seeing this change happening but today we're set the number
fifth blockchain used by daily active users um it's growing the ecosystem uh and i'd love to
see where we're sat in six months time which i think probably sitting somewhere in between position two and one absolutely love that i mean sorry go ahead 2.5 million daily active users is an incredibly
impressive number in this space and even eclipses sebexon metrics so um when when world mobile says
it's the real deal they really mean it yeah yeah thank you yeah sorry i keep interrupting you both
but it's it's so exciting.
And when you think about that too, you know, about the things that actually, we talk about mass adoption,
and it's one of those phrases that you kind of like, you say it, but because it's been so overused,
but here are two real utility-based companies that are genuinely um you know facilitating mass adoption because they are
connecting as you say and they are banking and they are really really kind of um facilitating
the ability for people to to learn and grow and uh and evolve and participate in the world as one
like completely yeah and if you're sorry sorry to take a couple more time but
if you think about it what mobile you know in in a very we consider this proof of concept we have
2.5 million paying users in emerging markets and now we have a bunch in the united states of
america but if you think about it what mobile is the gateway to the internet for millions but
actually those millions are also the gateway for great partners like zebek to become customers of zebek our air node operators who get paid in uh usd uh they can now
be paid in stables to a zebek card and do as they wish uh whether that's purchased more air nodes or
whether that's spend that or whatever they need to spend it on whether that's to save that so
these kind of partnerships are really are really fruitful for
we see for us and i believe that also for zebek yeah and you think about how that you that can be
extrapolated as well like at the moment you're talking obviously about people being able to
take control of their finances but in time that's like you say just participation in more social
networks more entertainment more kind of educational, like giving people access
to so much more in their lives. It's very, very enriching, very exciting prospect. So thank you
for sharing about it. And also, yeah, that piece about the air nodes and people actually being able
to receive money for it and then push that through a product like Zebek. Super, super exciting. I know
we're going to touch on those cards in a moment. Before we do that, the WMT token. So how is that currently used in the World Mobile ecosystem?
Yeah, sure. So its primary use is for the gas of the World Mobile chain.
We're live. You can visit that at explorer.worldmobile.io.
But it also secures the network in many different ways. You can stake
to Earth nodes. They're the computational core, the mobile core of our entire ecosystem,
the heartbeat, I would say. You can stake to Airnodes to secure that network, and we have a
random number generator, which doesn't sound that interesting, but actually there's not that many
random number generators that are backed by so many individual devices.
That also helps us to keep our network secure.
You can stake to your own plans.
So if you have a SIM card right now with AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Vodafone, Orange, whoever it may be, you cannot stake tokens and earn more.
You cannot stake tokens and get benefits.
You cannot stake tokens and have discounts within the ecosystem depending on which role you play so this i think is really interesting uh and then of
course there's other ways as a partner if you want to join our network then you need to stake some
tokens uh everything is there for the benefit of the token holder but the token is absolutely
necessary just like bitcoin is necessary to bitcoin and ETH is necessary to Ethereum.
WMTX is absolutely vital. It's the blood. It fuels the entire network.
Love that. Sorry, I was on mute. I've got to get better at that. Sorry about that.
But yeah, thank you. Amazing. And I appreciate you updating us on that.
I think now maybe, Simon, if you could come back up a little bit.
Obviously, we've seen, you know, Zebek, World Mobile, that partnership has been announced.
And it feels like, you know, obviously this link with you guys who are a Solana-based token is, you know, is something that could be coming out.
Is there any alpha that you can share with us?
Is there anything that's kind of talking about, you know, multi-chain, cross-chain, those
I guess Simon and Mr. T, if you want to interject and let me know.
Well, I mean, I'm not going to speak on behalf of World Mobile, but I know they have plans
of bridging into the Solana ecosystem one day, and Zbeck is there, of course, to support them.
And I think one of the very interesting applications of the streaming technology
that Zbeck has built on Solana is that one day it could be used
for real-time streaming of mobile phone charges.
So rather than having to pay quarterly or monthly,
these bills could be paid in real time.
So once the car products are deployed and live,
turning our attention to bringing streaming technology to World Mobile. I love that. And
Mr. T, I really hate putting people on the spot, but is there anything you want to add to that?
First of all, I'm looking very much forward to using streaming technology. It's innovation,
some is innovation and i think you can also support our partners who are building on the
and I think we can also support our partners who are building on the World Mobile chain,
world mobile chain such as minutes network but secondly um i would like to say that it's no
secret that world mobile has gone multi-chain uh we were one of the first uh partnerships with
chain link to take world mobile token across the solana there is a planned release at some point
uh with a major dex on Solana and some activations,
which is pretty exciting. But what mobile is humbly saying, at the moment, in terms of revenue,
in terms of daily active users, in terms of nodes out there, leads the entire Deepin space on its
own. Solana is also very heavy on Deepin, so it's exciting for us to have such a strong partner
as Zybeth to come in and to be able to hold our hands for us to announce who we are to the entire
Solana community. Yeah, I think that's awesome and I love the fact that you value partnership
and collaboration like that. I guess you gave that really interesting story about the Tristan Thompson piece,
which is wild because he's obviously like a superstar in the States.
Have you got any other guerrilla marketing or collaborations coming up
that you're excited to announce?
Or maybe you can't announce, but you just want to encourage people
to pay attention to what you're working on?
Yeah, there's a lot coming up.
We're very close to the nba uh we're working uh with several different sports teams also to take on the world mobile uh mvne solution um but yeah maybe there's going to be
something we do together with the back as well who knows uh i'm open for everything and there's
some good uh some good irons in the fire they would say
how about you simon is there anything that you guys are working on from like a guerrilla marketing
perspective i know you guys are always kind of uh thinking about how you can how you can push the
the boundaries with that kind of stuff well where do i begin there really but on the topic of the
nba yes we are going to be making an announcement very soon with our partners at Uphold, who actually happen to be on the spaces right now.
So hello to everyone at Uphold. But stay tuned.
Good to see Uphold there. You can come up and speak as if they like. I'm sure we put them on the spot there.
Love that, Simon. So is that an announcement you're expecting to make in the coming week?
In the coming week. Yes. Keep your eyes out for that.
Nice. Love that. Okay. And then something that Mr. T touched on a moment ago was this idea of
kind of the air nodes then facilitating people to be able to effectively monetize their use.
And this idea of WMT potentially integrating with Zebek card products,
is that something that you can kind of add any more color to?
So that was part of our announcement last week with the partnership between
Of course, World Mobile will be launching ZebekNet with us in the fall,
and we will be launching a card suite for the World Mobile token.
So we'll be starting it with the Zbeck Silver and the Carbon card
for full integration with WMTX.
And then later in the year, probably towards the end of September, early October,
we will be coming to market with the exclusive World Mobile branded debit card
powered by Zbeck and fully integrated in the World Mobile application,
meaning that World Mobile's 2.5 million global users can pay their bills directly with the RollMobile card and earn
rewards, as well as spend any of their earnings from the Airnodes directly on those cards. So
a really exciting integration to bring millions of new users to the overall Zebek card platform.
of new users to the overalls of that card platform.
And, you know, just great that this isn't just a collaboration
that is kind of pushing from a co-marketing perspective.
There's an actual integration here between the two companies,
Really, really interesting.
Okay, I guess this is a question to both of you
mr t go first if you like what's coming next and it could be for this partnership or or you know
more broadly is there anything else that you want to let people know about is there anything that
you know you uh you want to draw attention to definitely further deeper integration uh looking at ways to further monetize uh revenue generation
for um the the communities uh and for everybody involved again it's very important that any
partnership that we make has a real world use um and actually can live here you know there's
companies like world mobile like zebek that will actually survive a bear market
because um in fact they will thrive on a bear market because people still need to
to pay people still need to connect people still need to talk people still need to
transfer to get paid so just deeper and deeper interactions understanding further and hopefully
you know we've seen a great movement. I think
ZBCN man is here. I saw him welcoming our community. Very much appreciate that. And
there's a few other from the ZBEC community that have jumped into our community. And our community,
I recommend you jump into the ZBEC community because we're going to be working very closely
from here on. Yeah, it's great to see so many of the yellow background profile pictures in the audience.
Really, really good to have another audience come up here and join in.
And thank you to everyone who has been tuning in.
Simon, how about you and at your end?
Anything else that you want to tease or announce or just suggest people pay attention to?
Well, I would echo what Mr. T said.
I mean, we are two of the very few crypto companies out there that have a real business backing them,
a recurring revenue, healthy, growing business for both of our companies. And we have
two of the most vibrant communities in Web3, which we're incredibly, incredibly proud of. So
for me, it's really exciting to see these two communities come together i
encourage both the zebek community as well as the world mobile community to try out our respective
products and i do also know through uphold that um world mobile is running a trading competition
um so mr t maybe you could tell our community a little bit more about that and how they could participate. Yes, anybody trading WMTX, trading XLM,
trading HBAR and trading XRP
is going to learn more about World Mobile.
There's an airdrop there.
We'd love you to participate.
Our poll is a great platform,
certainly for us in the United States of America
and a great team leadership there as well.
you learn more about World Mobile and come and in the very worst case be a subscriber in the very
best case build the network be part of the network earn from the network and enjoy yeah absolutely
and I guess you know we're coming to a close now in this one you know I'm gonna I'm gonna tell
everyone to do the obvious
thing which is the zebek network is obviously hosting this space make sure that you're following
simon and mr tolleck telecom obviously well worth a uh a follow having you know as drivers of what
we're doing here the world mobile account is uh is in the audience i can see it as is uphold you
know there are some really really exciting
developments that are going on at the moment in uh in the space and and zebek world mobile are
clearly at the forefront of that and so i recommend you guys just go follow them turn your announcements
on keep an eye on what's going on and participate and i don't know mr t if there's anything else you
want to share with anyone in terms of like how they can participate to you is that is it discord is it telegram is it you know how are people in your community you know communicating
yes uh discord is a very popular place for us telegram is also really cool we have a big
community there uh twitter also follow our handles at world mobile chain at world mobile team
uh and then if you want to learn anything more, we've got an incredible community. They'll be very happy to onboard you onto world mobile. But you can also find all the
information, including the social links at worldmobile.io.
Love that. Thank you so much for coming up and joining us today. You know, closing thoughts from
me, really, really exciting to see two powerhouses come together in
this kind of this way I guess Mr. Telecom's kind of that mantra earlier that if you want to bank
the unbanked then you need to connect the unconnected that's going to stick with me for a
bit I think we'll definitely loop that into some of the the clips that we create for this one Simon
and I'm really looking forward to seeing it grow.
Simon and I have also been chatting in the background
about we've got some other spaces coming up.
So the next spaces we've got this Thursday, I believe.
This is an action-packed week for us.
Can we say who have we got coming on?
Our next spaces is with our partners at Codapay.
We have one of the payment processors and banks that we've worked with.
That spaces was initially for mid-August,
and we had to move it for scheduling purposes.
But now it's on the calendar for Thursday.
So hopefully everyone can join that.
And I'm really looking forward to hosting that one too, Cotapay.
Another really exciting outfit proposition.
And it's great for Zebek to be uh to be in the
same sentences as these amazing companies that we're talking to um also simon and i were talking
about how we might uh communicate a little bit more frequently than the spaces and so he and i
are working on a little 15 minute weekly uh pre-record that we can drop and and give people
that are going on so we're going to be working on that in the background hopefully it's something
that we can launch in the coming weeks okay well look that uh is it for today and um i want to
thank mr telecom for coming up and joining us i appreciate you doing that thank you very much for
having me thank you very much for having our community and thank you very much to the back community as well uh it's going to be a pleasure getting to know you 100 really
looking forward to it simon as ever thank you sir i know how busy you are appreciate you making the
time to come and uh and give us the updates simon thank you thank you appreciate it jj back to you
my man let's play it out yeah no, no, thank you guys for coming through.
Really appreciate the time and, you know, everybody listening.
And we'll see you on the next one this week.
