Musixverse aims to power music ownership and distribution across the web and beyond. Musixverse is attacking a three-way problem: 1. The music industry is going through an indie revolution, but the industry is still largely structured in favor of mainstream artists signed up by the Majors. They struggle to get discovered and are unable to make enough to sustain themselves as artists. 2. Every artist, be it indie or mainstream, only receives a fraction of the revenue that their music generates. Rest is eaten up by the middlemen. 3. Music ownership, collectibles, and rights have not adapted to the digital world. Musixverse attacks each of these problems to be a one-stop shop for artists and fans who are looking to establish a real connection with each other, raise money that will help sustain their art, and collaborate with each other. At the center of it, all will be Mx Catalog: our NFT marketplace where music, rights, income streams, etc can be packaged and sold by artists to the public without any middlemen. Mx Catalog will be supported by Mx AFfiRM: A first-of-its-kind, decentralized Artist-Fan Relationship Management (AFfiRM) system that lives beyond the bounds of Musixverse. Mx Finance will help artists take loans from our peer-to-peer lending product while putting down their music assets as collateral or raising money backed by the income stream of a future release. Data generated from all of this will power Mx Records: our in-house record label built from the ground up to serve hundreds of thousands of indie artists. Musixverse is more than just an NFT marketplace for musicians and fans. It will bring Artists and Fans together like never before and unlock novel models of communications and commerce. It is really meant to be a holistic solution for everything that is wrong with the music industry instead of targeting specific aspects of the problem. We have a home-ground advantage in India since our core team is based out of India. India also has the distinct advantage of hosting the fastest-growing indie music scene in the world. Pair that with high internet penetration and the youngest population in the world, we have a market ripe for disruption. We went live with our NFT marketplace targeting India in Q3 2022 and have 20+ artists in the pipeline. India will be our proving ground while we build our product further and raise more money to power international expansion. When we launch, we will be the first-of-its-kind solution in the Indian market: solely focused on music and providing open access to all artists to come to sign up on our platform. We are building features like Royalty Splits and Artist Verification workflows that will be live on day 1 and are not to be seen on most of the platforms out there. Technology-wise, we will use Polygon to power transactions on Musixverse when we first go live and make use of IPFS to store all metadata including music files, NFT covers, and profile pictures. We have plans to go multi-chain and are currently executing on Mantle, BNB chain, Ethereum, etc.
