NoFunZone is a gamified educational platform where people with no web3 knowledge can come, have fun, and learn about blockchain. Users will begin by minting their character NFT, and will gain experience points, level up, and evolve - all via smart contract interaction. The final levels will require the deployment of smart contracts and other more advanced blockchain activity. Our belief is that every project in the web3 space could benefit from a larger user base, and the main thing slowing the growth of users is the intimidating complexity of blockchain technology. We'll solve that by creating an engaging story and user experience that anyone at any age can appreciate and absorb. On top of telling people about the diverse usefulness of blockchain, we'll be showing them by using blockchain for the game they're playing. Naturally, if we want users to be able to make many smart contract interactions by collecting EXP and leveling up frequently, we want the gas fees and and transaction times to be as low as possible. It's also important for gas costs to be low to prevent users from getting frustrated when mistakes are made. Therefore, L2's like Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum and all their brethren are very appealing platforms to launch our smart contracts. They're also a great choice because using them is very similar to using the Ethereum main net, so users still get the web wallet experience necessary to use the Ethereum main net by using L2's. We're also blockchain agnostic, and want to teach users about all of the various blockchains be they L1 or L2. Higher levels will introduce more and more chains and L2's and teach users about how to switch between them and bridge tokens. The Rio Crypto Hub (RCH) is the first web3 educational event focused on on-boarding and networking in Latam. It happens every last week of the month. Since March 2022, the public keeps growing and nowadays it has expanded to more states. Through the past months, RCH had 6 sold out editions and received more than 1.000 people that spent the day learning and co-creating web3 initiatives. Lots of Brazillian partnerships between web3 projects and protocols were born inside the event. Beyond that, RCH has a partnership with a social movement in Rio de Janeiro, called Movimento TTK and every month, with the funds collected on RCH, the team organizes a technology class to children and adults that live in Tavares Bastos favela and give them more infrastructure, for example, new classroom, tables and computers. Our events cost a dollar, or it can even be free with you are part of a web project or a university, it's a non-profitable event, planned buy a community dao. Today it takes place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the next step is to expand to other states in Brazil. On November, 2022, the RCH have expanded to Sao Paulo, Paraná and Santa Catarina, in addition to Rio de Janeiro. As partnerships, RCH already received incentives from several big protocols, for example, Chainlink, Polkadot, Harmony, Polygon and AAVE. Our mission is to onboard people to web3 and increase awareness to the projects, we are the first monthly eduactional event in Latam, and we plan to keep expanding.
