A distributed ledger based on directed acyclic graph (DAG). Unlike centralized ledgers and blockchains, access to Obyte ledger is decentralized, disintermediated, free (as in freedom), equal, and open. There are no middlemen, no miners, no blocks. Unlike blockchains, censorship is impossible. MEV is impossible either.

No token is required to use the protocol. There are no protocol fees. The code is immutable, not upgradable, unstoppable. There are no access controls, no gatekeepers, no KYC, no your customer.
