We are building Africa's first blockchain remittance mobile application that is aimed at simplifying remittances to and between African and eventually other emerging market countries by leveraging on blockchain and crypto tech. How it works is really simple, sender tokenizes fiat within the app by purchasing our token (pegged and backed by USDT), send the token across the network to the recipient free of any transfer fees. The beneficiary then withdraws the value of the token in local currency (fiat) using several available local payment methods. This makes Swychr the cheapest, most convenient and transparent remittance application Africa has seen so far. With Swychr, we also aim to bank the unbanked across the African continent as Swychr will eventually become a virtual wallet through which Africans receive remittances from abroad, send value from one African country to another, pay for goods and services and hold their savings. We have build simplicity into our model and have taken the market context into consideration. To cater for the low technology literacy rate, we have done two major things. - Our users don't have to actually interact with the crypto as we handle all crypto related aspects in the backend including the crypto addresses etc. - Our users can send money to beneficiaries who don't even use Swychr app by withdrawing from their swychr wallet directly into the mobile money wallet of the beneficiary (that is how i send money to my mum).
